I don't think they'll take anything less than Clutterbuck and a conditional 5th rounder in 2027 - eichiefs9
He’s been surprisingly noticeable as of late. And in a good way, too.
Me thinks he’s finally done mourning his moustache. |

After that brief skid everyone is pretty much looking solid, honestly. No complaints right now. |

It's always been more about not staying healthy with the 4th line.

So far so good. I'm not even looking at trades right now and would rather give Bolduc the shot as 6th dman if needed.

Bullpoop.
Martin was completely invisible during the Chicago game. What’s more, Johnston had no goals AND no shots on net against Chicago. Unacceptable. |

Jokes aside, it'd be great if they can keep this train rolling and exit the road trip with three wins, or at the very least just get points in all three games. Kurz tweeted earlier that the Blues have lost 5 consecutive games in regulation and given up 18 goals in the the three most recent losses. That'd be great heading into two divisional games next week. |

The Blues scare me. They're WAY too talented to be playing this poopty. And then their GM just ripped the entire roster a new bumhole.
Me thinks they come out flying. |

There's no doubt they're not even half as bad as they've been playing, but they have been bad so far this year. Hopefully the Isles can get out to a quick lead and lock it down early. Don't want to be the turn-it-around game for St. Louis |

I'd be happy with 1 point tonight. Like you said they are going to come out flying |

As would I.
Sorokin is probably gonna get shelled tonight. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Dude seems to thrive in that enviroment. |

No doubt about it, I just don't think that they have the assets to make it happen. - eichiefs9
They have some decent prospects, and obviously picks if they think they’re in win now mode. I guess the question begs, is anyone in the system or prospect untouchable? |

It's not that they don't have anyone but at some point they have to start developing and keeping these guys. We haven't made a first round pick since 2019 and that's going to bite us in the ass at some point if we continue trading away every first round pick and solid-or-better prospect |

Then Johnston better man the (frank) up and put up a hat trick and 2 shots on goal. |

Lines and D-pairs the same for #Isles but with Matt Martin going back in for Ross Johnston

Past 5 games for STL they've been outscored 16-4 at 5v5, but 46% expected goals (NST, adjusted) isn't terrible.
8-16 high-danger attempts with Krug on the ice at 5v5, 38% expected goals.
5v5 save% past 5 games:
.836 Binnington (46 of 55)
.909 Greiss (70 of 77)
Blues ain't so hot at 5v5 and Isles are top-scoring 5v5 team. Obviously nothing set in stone but I sure hope that trend continues |

Every stat points favourably towards the Isles. That’s what worries me. |

Absolutely agree……but if they continue playing sound hockey I don’t see Lou not giving them more firepower to improve the PP which they’ll need to really make a run. They certainly have the goaltending to compete for lord Stanley. |

Now is the inept power play a result of the personnel on the ice, or the personnel behind the bench? |

My personal opinion is the on ice personnel. I think it stems from lacking that dynamic offensive threat (Barzals would be linemate). The days of throwing Cliff Ronning, or Marc Andre Bergeron out there for PP1 should be over. I’ve said this ad nauseam, but they never replaced Tavares’ numbers. Love Brock Nelson, but I see him more as a net presence for PP2, than the lefty shot on PP1. Would love a legitimate lefty sniper |
