How can people have such an irrational hatred for a team that hasn't won in their lifetime?

It's bizarre.

I just went through a series of calculations and adjusted my very complex algorithm and I have bad news for Saturday.

I think the thing that overrides this for me is that it's somehow normalized for a loser to take exception to the winning team winning by physically assaulting them - and if the team that's winning doesn't physically respond, somehow they lost.

You know who else used to chirp like this? Brophy's Leafs. Because they were bloody awful. They couldn't play hockey, so they'd tantrum it up and go punch some faces. It was then, and is even more embarrassing now that hockey considers this normal behaviour.

I mean even in that BS last night, Gio pins Konecny down, and then the linesman breaks it up so Konecy can get up and start chucking them? What the Hell is that? Do your job, linesman. Get him in the box. I mean he literally started a fight in the final 5 minutes - may not have been much of a fight, but if the refs want to cut that poop out, you call it an instigator penalty, and Konecy gets a hearing for a 1 game suspension and a $10k fine.

Why the frank would the train conductor stop the train on the bridge?

I'll bet there was a huge lawsuit.

Again, and I made this comment on here recently to Peter21, and maybe you're too young to have dealt with this in the same way because road safety laws have changed considerably . . .but back in he 80s everyone had a friend who had a car at 17. He bought it for $200. It was a piece of crap rustbucket that started 25% of the time and had an unfortunately peculiar odour to it that was either old fart or sulfur. He would refer to it as a "poop can" or his "poopty ride", but if YOU called it either of those things, you were walking.

Which, in hindsight, was probably the safer option.

I might be younger and it the price was more than 200$ but I had 2 friends in the exact same situation.

I still remember the day we drove while I was holding the passenger door because it wouldn't close and my friend's seatbelt in the backseat was held together by an expertly placed quarter.

Some of us are the last ones who will ever understand MacGyver. Kids these days would watch it and be puzzled that he just doesn't Google it.

. . . that said, that car is the Leafs. WE can badmouth it, but the rest of you can get out and walk.

I think there is a rule in place where if there was a fight in the last five minutes of the game, the coach will get a the fine.

If the upright pillars that close together weren’t a giveaway I’m not sure what they needed to pass on the message
