Chicks love the melody which lives in the top set of notes - where the singer and guitar and higher notes of the piano hang out.
Dozzer plays the bottom stuff. It’s the engine that drives the music. - Canada Cup

I don’t think you’re right. Brodie is now their primary shutdown guy so they’re not going to burn out a 32 year old to give him offensive time.
Primary offensive: Rielly Mete
Secondary offensive: Giordano Sandin
Primary defensive: Brodie Holl
Brodie has enough on his plate. - Dozzer
I think that’s mostly right but my guess is that Mete will need some help and they won’t trust him with 20 minutes if they can avoid it. Where there’s a start that might be a challenge for Mete, they might give Brodie some of his minutes rather than have him limited to just what he would get playing with Holl. We’ll see |

He’s on the top pairing so try closer to 20mins - Dozzer
No
There are only 4 D in the entire league who play 20 mins or over even strength. Mete will not be number 5
Rielly barely gets 18 mins of even strength |

Oh let me be clear, I think you’re right where they won’t lean on him defensively… I can see him landing 20mins but with like 80% in the offensive zone (especially faceoffs)
His partner Rielly will also get the PP1 time that Mete won’t. |

I’m saying 20 as a rounded number. My point is he’ll be getting a lot more than 10 |

Nice. I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that my musical endeavours will never be much more than the exercise of learning the songs from sheet music mostly on piano to the point where I can play them at 60-70 speed so that they sound something like they’re supposed to. I’m playing grade 3 and 4 pieces.
I’m completely cool with this although I would like to be able to arrange to play and jam with others. Right now I find the intellectual effort of moving from seeing, reading to moving fingers to be a good thing to slow age related cognitive decline. Unfortunately, every hour of benefit from that is offset from 5 minutes here but we all have to pay for our vices |

Woah 10 is a big jump to 20
We probably see Brodie taking the odd shift there, especially if its a close game.
even strength the D arent far from each other in terms of playing time. Its PK and PP that gives so much extra mins. |

apparently I'll be in your neck of the woods in a couple months to do a 2 hour PK presentation to a bunch of sales folks.
Any suggestions other than "Every single one of you knows less than you think you do"? |

I love the idea of adding Burns this season but...are you at least a little worried about the next few years of that contract? |

I’ve done so much musically in my life I don’t mind that what I do is pretty laid back nowadays… just some old friends and we get together to have fun.. my 20s and 30s were so bloody busy, I’ve recorded multiple albums for different musicians and had a couple of my own indie bands that were my primary focus. Hell, I remember when the sheepdogs opened for my band because it was before they landed that rolling stone cover… I was so happy for them, they’re super nice guys.
The one thing I gave up tho was ever getting married or having a family… between the non stop musical life at night and working as a civil engineering tech during the day I didn’t have the time for that kind of life. Worked out tho because the girl in my life now has known me since highschool (we’re mid 40s now), she has taken care of me, bought me a new P bass for my birthday a few years back because she hated I gave up music (stage lighting had started bugging me due to my epilepsy). She had 3 daughters in the marriage she held onto for years but finally had to let go of, and they’re not kids, her oldest is 23, has her own 2 year old and another one due in about a month. Somehow I skipped being a dad and jumped right into being a granddad lol
But I’m loving having the bass she bought me now because I’m back to playing… still seizing post lobectomy but not as much, only during my sleep, and lighting isn’t bugging me anymore |
