No doubt this is a weaker team than last year. Throwing darts on cheap free agents…no real plan. They are doing what they can with what they have available. Not many options, besides playing better. This team is not scary in the least. Seems like 7 forwards are just “guys”. Interchange any one or more of them any night and we’d barely notice.

Im not sure it is weaker per say, but I question the use of some guys here. Aston Reese might bring more if he was not buried on the 4th line. Put him with Kampf. Engvall has done nothing why is he rewarded with 2nd line time? Fourth it is and swap out minimal ice time him. Same with NAK and Malgin. ZAR Kampf Kerfoot behind the top two lines and Robertson on line 2 might work a whole lot better. Hell send Malgin down and call up Simmonds for line four even if he plays like he did that first game back up.

It is so damn weird and yeah fine there is injuries and all that but something is really off with the whole team and how it plays and lines and all of it. It isn't just one thing there.

Maybe the up close camera angle it played on live made it look much worse than it was? Because live action it looked about as textbook of a boarding call as you could possibly find.

I can't imagine. That was a textbook as I've seen. Inexplicable that they didn't call it. Especially given the chincy crap they do call.
