I agree that he was 14 and deserves a 2nd chance(I seem to be in the minority)..

If he was on trial for murder at 14 he would have his identity protected.

According to Justice Canada, under the legislation, you are prohibited from publishing “the name of a young person, or any other information related to a young person, if it would identify that he or she has been suspected of, charged with or found guilty of a crime.”

The judge made him apologize in Court when he was 14. The Instagram apology was a couple of weeks ago when he knew he was going to be signed. It’s hard to say if either are sincere.

Nobody is crucifying the kid. I think the league is pissed at the Bruins. If they were going to sign him they could have done it in a much better way - deal with the victim’s family beforehand, etc
