This team has a ton of issues and I don’t even know where to begin.
- Awolff9

Defense is really bad. The rangers have so many unforced turnovers. Shesty looking pretty avg. the kids playing well but not nearly at the point level they need to be. Probably a long season where they lose a ton of games they should win.

Also trouba is reedenesque

Hajek and Jones aren’t NHL quality d men. And right now that is 33% of there defense

Fact. Reality is trouba looked 10 times worse than both tonight

Yep and I don’t see it changing. Too many passengers, too much east to west hockey. Not knowing how to play with a lead

You just wrote the blog for Jan.

Not all on Drury, cap issues hamper most teams, I'm sure you saw the creative signings other teams had just to be compliant. Much rather have Copp than Carpenter.

0-3 against teams playing second half of back to back
- Rangers99

Yep. We should have won those games except the tired team had better legs than the Rangers.

Yea the cap isn’t all drurys fault, but maybe should have kept someone like Othman around for the 9 game sample at least. Also the Reaves extra year cost them Motte most likely. And yea Carpenter just isn’t cutting it. Blais still doesn’t look right recovering from his injury. I don’t know how much longer he is going to need to look like he did pre injury. But Drury based a lot of his decisions on the fact that Blais can play a big role

Lots of road games upcoming. Maybe that’s what they need. The home play has been pretty awful all year really

Good teams win that game. Defense has to figure it out. As well as the kids have looked they need to start getting points

Comes back to no real depth on D or forward.
Would love a luxury tax negotiated at the next CBA.

Anyone else think Goodrow has looked kinda useless this year so far? I know the bottom 6 has been a mishmash of different players which doesnt help but he hasnt shown the physicality or chipping in the offense he was last year

Agreed, he was overpaid by 750k or so. IMO though he hasnt deterred any nonsense that he was brought in to stop because there were multiple times that opposing player took liberties with us and he didnt respond.

And he was the one player Gallant really wanted.

And that savings - or that contract - could have been used to being back Motte, who we all wanted to return. I have recommended calling up Rydahl and dumping Carpenter as a start.

Worst part about losing that game is we can’t even cry about the missed call because we’re deemed crybabies lol when in fact it directly cost them the game. That one non call literally cost them at least a point. That’s a penalty 99 times out of 100 and we were lucky enough to not get it the one time

I don’t wanna hear well you still need to win the game. No. It cost us a point which could be a difference maker down the line. End of story. And I very rarely will blame officials in any way, but that was an egregious miss

Yeah but he does that thing where he yells before every game. That's worth 1.75, no?

I can't believe they didn't call it. Then again an obvious icing was missed near the end of the 1st period that eventually led to a Rangers PP goal that should have never happened. So I guess that evens it out?

Icing is one thing but that cost them a goal against, two minutes of non pp time (which is their bread and butter) and the pressure to come back with what 5 minutes left?
