To be fair to Sandstrom, he only plays the second half of back to backs. - rayc16
Yeah, I didn’t think the comment was an indictment on Sandstrom just the team in front of him. I think he has played well. Hopefully, the team rallies for his first win soon.

I'll post this here too. I know it's a big day with the election but let's try to curve the political talk today. It's all been about hockey thus far so let's keep it that way!

I don’t think Torts is calling Chuck (his boss) a moron. I think he’s calling out the players, which dances around calling Chuck a moron. - SuperSchennBros
I said this before, Torts actually wants to bench players, he sees it as a way to challenge them and improve them. After Tk and Hayes, it was Frost and Braun, then it was Risto and Bellows. The benefit to having a team that should not make the playoffs is you can sit who you want, try other parts and it is not an egregious mistake
ps- it is not the benching, it is what he says when he does it. |

Well chalk up a loss for tonight.
I don’t think he has played bad but not good enough to overcome the slop in front of him. |

Fletcher didn’t just become a moron. He’s been terrible for his entire career and no one has had the stones to tell him publicly when he’s wrong. - Shrike
I think he was better in MN than he's been in Philly.

Hang on. There is a difference between benching players and scratching players. Some players get scratched because you wanna look at someone else. Benching is because to him, you look bad. I don’t mind the benching, just as long as it doesn’t cost us a game. Torts stopped fighting against the Sharks. He could have benched TK and Hayes ten minutes and gave them a shift to see how they respond that game, that night and earn your next shift. |

Apparently they demoted Zamula to make room for Ersson on the roster.
Meanwhile Cam Atkinson remains on the active roster despite not playing a single game all season, both regular and pre. Very curious indeed. |

Yeah, I wasn't knocking Felix.
Just saying the team is DOA without Hart standing on his noggin. |

Yeah, he was impressive here. We savored the 2 playoff series wins in his 9 years here. Don’t suppose we could get him back?

What would we have to give you to take him back? |

Cutter would be nice. We need someone to operate the snow blower. I think Chuck is a fit there.

Haha. Yes. That needs to be the focus. He’s probably exhausted even though he’s young because he’s had to carry the team on his back. |

First time this year the Flyers are outshooting another team in the first period. This does not bode well for them |
