I said this before, Torts actually wants to bench players, he sees it as a way to challenge them and improve them. After Tk and Hayes, it was Frost and Braun, then it was Risto and Bellows. The benefit to having a team that should not make the playoffs is you can sit who you want, try other parts and it is not an egregious mistake

Hang on. There is a difference between benching players and scratching players. Some players get scratched because you wanna look at someone else. Benching is because to him, you look bad. I don’t mind the benching, just as long as it doesn’t cost us a game. Torts stopped fighting against the Sharks. He could have benched TK and Hayes ten minutes and gave them a shift to see how they respond that game, that night and earn your next shift.

Apparently they demoted Zamula to make room for Ersson on the roster.

Meanwhile Cam Atkinson remains on the active roster despite not playing a single game all season, both regular and pre. Very curious indeed.
