Holy (frank)... Phil Myers dumps Evander Kane to the ice then Pat Maroon accidentally slices his wrist open as he skates by... pool of blood on the ice.

Yes, congrats! Well-deserved! Not sure how long it will last, but I'm enjoying watching this team for the first time in a while.

Tk doesn’t even look like the same player from last year. Solid in both ends and scoring consistently. |

This was the most complete game from the Flyers this year so far! Even though the Blues are struggling, the Flyers really played well, especially in the 3rd to close it out. |

Did he play tonight? All jokes aside, if Torts isn't a fan of Frosty, I believe you are correct and that it will be tough for him to stay in the lineup. I want to see him get more minutes with better players, but looks like Torts feels otherwise. Of course, you know if we cut ties with him, he will be a star wherever he goes. |

Yes, TK is playing like he did his first few years here. He has been solid overall so far.

While I enjoy watching the team this year more then last..its due to their effort.
I also find myself rooting for them to win but I know that the only way this team can move forward is to get a top 3 pick. They are devoid of talent. - Flybynight88
This is exactly where I am at with this team. I love to watch the kids grow and develop but I also know that our only chance to fix this mess is to start with a top 3 pick.... and of course feltcher messed up the tank, too. Dude can't do a damn thing right |

Yeah he played, but had the least amount of ice time on the team. He was out for 10:01....Mac and Deslauriers had 2-3 more minutes of ice time than Frost had tonight |

I don't have high expectations for them, and while yes, they certainly haven't dominated (and probably rarely will), they at least are being competitive and seem to be enjoying playing hockey. Hart of course has kept them in most games, but look at the lineup...I was expecting to be blown out several games and we haven't. I'm sorry but I'm going to enjoy every win and hope that guys like Cates, Tippett, etc continue to improve.

That is the problem with Tortorella is he just has to pick a whipping boy and is relentless in his tirade against that guy. He has been like that wherever he has been and really it is not always fair to said player. |

Yea, I missed the first 10 minutes but realized as the game went on, that he wasn't out there much. As Minnyhook was saying yesterday, this board is all about speculation. In situations like Frost's, I can't help but wonder if he has an attitude issue or something. I have a soft spot for guys like Zack and ND, but don't think they should be getting so much ice time. We have to also remember that Torts typically didn't have fighters on his teams, so this is not about him favoring players just because they can fight. There has to be something else up with Frost.

No they really didn't. They just scored some goals.
In that game shot attempts were 64-28 Devils. Scoring chances 36 -14 Devils. Contrast that with last night.

Tonight was the first game where they were actually competitive. The rest of the season was about getting significantly outplayed and riding hot goaltending and scoring some goals. Which masks for some people how badly they've been outplayed virtually every game.

What information is there to suggest he has an attitude problem? Read all the comments from the coaching staff last year about how Frost embraced what they wanted him to do and how he improved. It's really quite simple. Frost is not a player who can be successful in a 4th line low minute situation playing with grinders. He's an offensive player, who needs to play in offensive situations with offensive players. He is not a player who is going to carry a 4th line to offensive pressure. He plays in situations where the overwhelming amount of the ice time is played without the puck.

No information - I said I can't help but wonder...it's called speculation and maybe there's something behind the scenes that ticked Torts off (which isn't hard to do). I agree that he won't be successful on the 4th line, but why is he there? I read the coach's comments and I respect Bill's assessments of Frost. My concern is why aren't they moving him up in the lineup? Some suggest it's because he doesn't fight which is ridiculous, as that would be most players on the team.
