Oh I basically screamed that at him all the way upstairs. Rookie move - we probably missed out on an open bar & free food!
Oh and I saw some interesting jerseys tonight including a Toskala one that a guy was wearing very proudly. - Cush29

Did he "accidentally" get a size too small. It's so cute when he tries to look all innocent. |

Don’t like all the positive spin the tsn panel put on this game. Leafs should’ve won. To many costly errors that led to all the goals tonight. They need to tighten that up. - bryant
all the goals against were the result of horrible plays |

Lots of grump in general after a loss.
They were playing their 3rd in 4 nights against a rested team who is also on a tear and sitting 1st overall in the league. For the most part they outplayed Vegas. Mental errors happen when you're tired, so it's not surprising to see a tired team make mental errors. It would be even better if we didn't see these errors so frequently when they were rested so that this was perhaps a more legitimate excuse.
That said, taking 5 of 6 from Boston, Carolina and Vegas with Kallgren in net for 2 of them, and with Kallgren sealing the Bruins game in the third to protect a 1 goal lead? I don't think anyone here would have believed it if you'd said it on Saturday morning.
There's some encouraging elements here - and among those is that the team is winning without Matthews or Rielly playing their 'A' games yet. Supporting guys like Kerfoot, Bunting, Jarnkrok and particularly Engvall haven't really hit their stride yet either.
I guess that key question is: do they have that ability to get it in gear and deliver consistently as a team? It's sort of obvious, but they are as good as advertised if only they could stop being as lazy as they are.

Yeah, I'm not mad.
Bright spots so far:
- Lilly coming back and not missing a step, and in fact, looking better than last year already, and playing on the top line? Yup, super happy about that.
- JT looking as good or better than any season he's had here. His minutes are down, but maybe that's a good thing; gotta give the nod at least partially to the coaching staff here for ice-time management.
- we're doing ok with a 3rd string goalie. Kallgirl does not look terrible.
- we're doing ok and 16/34 have rarely been the difference makers at all this season and we know that's not going to last, they're too good. |

I thought they completely outplayed, out-skated Boston. It was a very strong performance from top to bottom. Tiredness seemed like an issue against Carolina but they played a disciplined game without many mistakes. It’s hard to say tiredness was a factor last night, especially after 45 seconds. Kallgren seems to give up a softie every once in a while and then play really well. He seems to lose concentration a bit.

The Leafs were the better team and owned most of the play. Vegas' goals were off of horrendous mistakes. |

I said that to my wife after the game... this 3-games in 4 nights was incredibly difficult, especially with the away, afternoon, game sandwiched in there.
They did outplay Vegas over all. Couldn't really ask for more.

So I have been trying to appreciate "Animals". It is actually pretty good, took me a couple listens.
Also, I am finding The Division Bell was a pretty under-rated album. |

good lord. Should the Leafs retire Domi's number.
Did I hear that the Leafs have officially retired the numbers that they had honoured before? |

Habs: We are not sure we're gonna retire our franchise player of the last 15 years because he hasn't won a cup.
Sens: We're gonna retire that bottom 6 forward's number because he played for us a long time. |
