I had a "Farcebook memory" pop up this am from 2017.

It's a picture of Wendel Clark and I at the pre tourney draft party from an Easter Seals Charity Hockey tournament I played in. Our team actually drafted Rick Vaive and it was amazing such a nice guy.

Anyhow the narrative to go with my pic of Wendel and I was this:

Clark asked what position I played and when I said I was a goalie he replied “well if we play you in this tournament best advice I can give you if I ‘m shooting is to get outta the way or get hurt”! 😂🤣😂🤣

My kid played in one those a few years ago. He got to play in the final against the full alumni team. Two minutes in Clark comes over the blue line and rips one head high just wide of the net. A few minutes later, same thing but top corner.

With the way the NHL is going, will they ever get a guy that will play that many games for them again? Or want that?

Unrelated to talk of trade and retired numbers I have to say that I am just about done with Pierre Engvall.

There was a play last night, I believe late in the first period where he was chasing after the puck after it was dumped into the Vegas zone. Instead of taking his man and finishing his check he literally just turned off him and skated away.

For a guy of his size and presumable strength I see no reason why he would shy away from physical contact. This is just a small sample size of what he doesn't bring to the game. It drives me nuts.

Edit: right after posting this I went to YouTube to watch Dangle's latest LFR. In the preamble Hat Guy is looking up how many career hits Engvall has. Awesome.
