Amirov has halted all training and returned home and is with his family. The statement from his agent doesn’t say anything else but sure sounds like a big setback
Every defenseman in the NHL make mistakes with the puck. Leafs D make less mistakes with the puck then any other team. Which basically says Leafs D are vastly underated but are under a microscope constantly and every mistake is magnified more. - Buck Norris
Patty Kane, make it happen...could you imagine Marner on line 1 and Kane on line 2 the set ups and scoring would be ridiculous.
Murray out. However that happens. He's the new Tim Connolly, I can feel it.
Crouse, Chychrun for Kerfoot, Sandin, 1st, +
DeHaan UFA
Hakapaa UFA 24/24 for Engvall/prospect or pick
Muzzin stays LTIR/retired

It did from the start. He had one year as a starter and landed $25 million even tho he was far from consistent for the entire season as a starter? Gutsy signing by the oilers for sure. - Dozzer
And by gutsy you mean completely (frank)ing idiotic right?
"One time I tried to fart while playing online poker really late while my girlfriend was asleep. About half of the fart came out before I realized more was on its way out too. I caught that before it was too late and jumped up and started to run to the bathroom. I had headphones on and yanked my head to the left and pulled my tower over as I kicked a 25 lb weight on the floor, broke my toe and then - 21peter[poop] all over myself."

Kane would be delicious on this team. Not so sure about Chychrun (injuries galore) and definitely not feeling Domi. Crouse probably turns into Nick Ritchie 2.0 in TO.
Should be a dandy tonight, or possibly a dull midweek snoozefest, or something in between.
I have to say, if I take off my Leaf goggles, objectively speaking I'm not crazy about Vegas' chances is this hockey game. I'm feeling Leafs in this one, in a big way.
Probably a 1-0 shoutout win. For some reason, VGK's goaltending continues to defy reality. - mjones242
Not defying reality at all. Anyone that paid attention knew it would be above average. I believe I’m probably the only one that called for Thompson to win the Calder in the prediction thread…

I saw in the last blog some naysayers about the outcome of tonight's game.
I am going to this game and every since my wake up at 430 am I have been singing this tune in my head, chugging blue Leaf-er-ade in preparation.
Yes I have to convince myself that they will be the team we have seen the last few games and not the team from the terrible west coast swing.
That being said they generally win when I go to a game, I'd say of all the games I've been to in the past 10 years the Leafs have won the vast majority of them - probably well over 80%.
I'm hoping that continues but regardless I am enjoying a nice GO train ride into the big city, looking forward to dinner with a great friend of mine at Scaddabush on Front St. and slamming back way too many overpriced beers since he is driving downtown to meet me and driving us home.

Are you Eklund? Player x might get traded but might not. Anthony Duclair is going to win the Richard trophy. Sorkin reminds me of a bigger Dom Hasek… - TurdFergeson
I prefer that too - I bet Keefe won't be shy to go back to it tonight if they are flat etc. - Cush29
Surprised he isnt starting with it but agreed, he isnt afraid to mix things up and likely will bring that tweak back.
Thinking it will be a better start than last time and a tougher game, not sure we win but we have the ability to if we keep playing like we have the recent games.
