They're going to win at least 20 games in an 82 game season. Sorry pal

As a leaf fan I'll take the pens suffering.

I feel for the flyer fans though. From what I read here daily it feels like the team is lost in the middle. Too good to totally fail and too bad to win anything of note. Hopefully things get cleaned up a bit with a clear vision this season.

A winning record. Working hard. Yet did you all see all of those empty seats at the WFC? The fans haven’t bought in because we are stuck between no elite talent in the pipelines or on the horizon for a great draft this year and no one really believes this team can push deep in to the playoffs (let alone keep this up all year). Couple all that with the observation that there appears to be no cohesive plan… any other year or time I think we’d all be Uber-excited by this early record, this year it’s still just doesn’t feel right. Hard to describe as a fan.

Wasn't flawless but still really good. There's still a part of me that's waiting for the bottom to fall out.

Forget a deep run, I don't think anyone feels they WILL make the playoffs.

How long a leash does the Chief have behind the Blues bench?

Finally a team that the Flyers outplayed.

I think the key is there in interest in this team overall. This team is very easy to root for. They play hard, they play for each other and they try each and every night, which is a far cry from what they have been the past 2 seasons. In the end water finds its level and though this team may not be the worst team in the Metro, they probably will not make the playoffs. That being said being a bubble team, which could happen especially if Couts and Atkinson come back close to 100%, really hurts the franchise overall, especially this draft year.

Not easy to root for to me. Lacking talent. Eventually it will show and back to the same results the last decade. Stuck in mediocrity. Makes it east to root against.

Just curious where are you getting there is interest in the team? Just your take?

Here’s the plan. Ellis, Coots and Atkinson go on career ending LTIR. Add to that JVR’s 7million coming off the books. They’ll have enough cap space to sign 2-3 of the top UFA’s out there. That’s the 2-3 missing players that Fletcher referred to a year ago.

interesting-

all the roster players values were depressed, you really could not trade them. Now? the value is rising, a little more of a run, then the bottom falls out, then we trade everyone.

I do not agree with that for that players that actually had/have value. Ivan, TK, Sanheim their value imo wasn't depressed enough to not get back a good return. The others really had none to begin with.

The ones they need to jettison 100% have next to know value. It would be a bad contract for bad contract type of deal.
