agreed. it isn't fair for both the players and the victims involved to compare the two.
- Pat1993

or the work done by both teams (mtl and bos). the former went to work, contatced the victim, invested 1M in a fund for education, kept the league in the loop.... the latter did nothing.

and it went on for multiple years... it's insane.
- Pat1993

It cannot be stressed enough that school administration was complicit in this

very true. it doesn't "erase" anything of what he did but at least Mailloux and the habs took this seriously and decided to take the best steps possible going forward.

and I don't know if any of you has read the letter/statement made by that kid who was bullied by Mitchell Miller, but it's horrible, wow.
- Pat1993

I don't understand the Bruins signing that guy. Former 4th round pick, isn't even playing anywhere this season, and had an ok year in the USHL as an overager in 21-22. Was taking that kind of baggage really worth it?

Dumb move by Neely and Sweeney.

yeah, I'm guessing his parents were aware of the situation this whole time..? even the school those kids went to seems to have done a really poopty job of managing the situation and trying to resolve it.

I haven't looked into it all that deeply but yeah, reading that letter just screams mismanagement and very poor supervision.

exactly. we're not talking about Bobby Orr here. seems to be a lot of trouble for very little reward.

Well apparently it seems all Miller did was apologize and said to him "tell them were friends now"

a few days only before signing the contract. like maybe it would be a good idea... lol

I'm all for giving these kids a second chance, but they have to deserve it. prove they're worth it. that doesn't seem to be the case here.

If something is happening in the school and it has been filmed, then 100% the school admin knew it was happening

very early in his career to have a suspension history, but oh well, the kid will learn, I don't think he's a dirty player anyway.

Jesus Christ Fred he almost killed him. It was extremely dangerous and irresponsible and they need to teach that young man a lesson.

2 games as a first offender.

Doesn't matter Pat.

Look at Tkachuk trying to take a goaltender's eye out, he has a history, still got 2 games.

The department of player's safety is a joke.

The referring yesterday was worst than that department…

The strangest was giving that penalty shot after the player was able to breakaway and get a shot on Allen…. I am still trying to understand this one…. If he scores, do they allow the goal and give the penalty shot over that?

I think it is just a bad luck…. A bit like Hoffman 2 goals…

Strange things happen…
