It's not so much about throwing your weight around, it's more about winning puck battles along the board and retrieving the puck ... bottling up the opponent in their own zone eventually leads to goals. - Garfield512
he's a bit like a Armia, but with talent.
good size, protect the puck well, BUT he has the hands and the vision to make a play.
his goal the previous game is a perfect example of that. |

I would argue that the sweet pass he made on the OT goal tonight is definitely a perfect example of that as well.

for the hands yes. for the vision the previous game was something else. really impressive. go look at it again. before he receives the pass to score the goal. look what he does without the puck, reading the play... really good. |

honestly as long as he keeps it simple he has been fine for what he is. a guy picked up off waivers. he at least throws his weight around.
he isn't the worse guy out there. |

huh, good for him, getting picked in the 1st round had (frank)ed up all expectations that people had when he was in MTL.

oh I know, but he was never able to crack a not-so-impressive roster with the habs either.

We had double the shots and pretty much controlled the puck all night ... a few mistakes in our own zone cost us a few goals, the Pens were very opportunist.
What I like most is they don't quit when they're behind ... night and day difference with last year's team.
Will it last all season? ... hard to say but it sure is fun to watch so far. |

Tonight was an example of something we haven't seen in Montreal in a LONG time...a night of not great goaltending backed up by scoring to make up for it. Normally it's the reverse. To quote Pete...

And like I said from the start, the first line can score every night |
