Bear has a goal and an assist in 8 games with Vancouver, not 5 games. |

Tage will be one of the best value contracts in the league, he deserves credit for getting ahead of the curve there.
I wasnāt a fan of the Quinn pick, and durability seems to be an issue, but he has some of the best underlyings on the team and I think the points will come.
Kulich and Levi both look the part so far in their development paths and those were his acquisitions.
Getting a 1st for Risto was a huge win, and Rosen has looked good in Rochester so far as well.
He hasnāt made a move that hurts the team long term, look no further than the team we played tonight to see what happens when a GM screws the pooch at the professional level and wastes the wet dream he was given by his amateur staff.
Sometimes itās better to make no moves then the wrong ones.
This is the youngest team in the league and we have the salary cap flexibility to do whatever we want. We have assets out the ying Yang.
The biggest detriment Adams is facing so far is he remains patient and is trying to push a long term plan on a fan base that lost their patience prior to him being hired in the first place - Pegullaville
Youāre contradicting yourself here in two sentences.
Its good Adams didnāt make moves because they could be the wrong moves but he has so much flexibility to make moves heās not going to make.
He has no interest in winning games right now
His contract extension is legitimately one of the most undeserving contracts in sports history |

I envy Kevyn Adams. I really do. To get paid that much and have so little expected of you must be really nice financially.

3 keys to the future, no clue if KA and Donnie are up to the task:
1- UPL + Levi
2- Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, Ostlund turn into a good 2nd line. Cozens, JJ, and Quinn are easy to project as a good 3rd line. If you can't build a strong middle 6 out of all these picks, you've failed. If a couple turn into top line talent, then you really have something.
3- Trades to improve the defense. Maybe the toughest part, with nothing in the system. Have to get some value out of the F's not in the plan, not just sell them off for picks. |

And here's my once a quarter (frank) you to Devon Levi for rather being at Northeastern than in the NHL, starting right now. I sure hope you're the best goalie in college again, Dev. That's definitely more important than wanting to be the next Patrick Roy. |

Next year it's Comrie and UPL, Levi is in Rochester. |

The Sabres are on pace to be a worse team than last year. If that continues what makes next year any different In terms of going for it.
As is stands we still donāt know what Quinn,Krebs,JJ are, will have new prospects to develop entering the system and we will be further away from making the playoffs.
Why is next year the year to make moves other than it being this arbitrary marker set for no reason. - ImThatGuy
Adams said so.
But, whatever I guess. |

Should be able to create proper value from a package that includes pieces from:
-Olofsson (find the team that needs PP scoring)
-Mitts
-Asplund
-Joker
-Girgenson
-Krebs
-2023 - 3 - 2nds
- Forward Prospects out the wazoo. |

Have any confidence that they will? Most of those pieces have very sketchy value.

How much value do the things you listed above actually have?
Feels like you're hoping to turn ancillary or spare parts into something good.
Not entirely sure how realistic that would be. |

Very true, but they should be good enough to get you atleast a top4 RD. |

Olofsson has 7 power play goals each of the past two seasons.
How good is he really on the power play? |

If top 4 RHD are still considered highly valuable, why would a team trade one for what is spare parts? |

Posted a stat on it a couple weeks ago. He's one of the least productive PP F's in the NHL over the last few years. The goals are pretty, but he generally hurts the PP.

I expect him to make moves to improve the team at the deadline and in the offseason.
I donāt judge Adamsā success on the Sabres making the playoffs this year when the majority of the core is under the age of 23.
Iām not going to sit here and freak out about hypotheticals. |

If you look at the possible targets, it's hard to find one better than Bear. Perfect chance to use cap space for a bargain, and they didn't.
