Resigned tage, samuelsson and olo.... maybe gave girgensons/ asplund extensions
They become KA's guys when he resigned them.
Same for Ventura IMO - Boss34
Given the terms they got, I don't see Girgs, Asplund, Olo or Mitts as theirs really. They were here and RFA status, none worth a lot on the market. Can't fault KA for not letting them walk only to acquire other stop gaps to put in their stead while the rookies grow.
Tage and Sammy, I'm with you as they invested long term. Any they resign after, samesies. |

Guy has the talent, tearing that Achilles really hurt his development. He's got the Heart, but he looks smaller than my Daughter. Gets swallowed up on the forecheck. He needs to be with players that can go get the puck, feed him and then go to the net or find a whole. Fantastic passer, just hasn't found those linemates yet. - Buff36
Didn't him JJ and Peterka rip it up in the A together last year? |

He gets to the net and doesn't avoid contact, so I think there's hope that he'll grow into his potential. Just a kid playing vs men atm.
Mitts and VO just block everyone atm. Terrible defensive pair that just won't work with Krebs. It's just an awkward lineup to work with and he is suffering from it. - Lunaion
They have about 5 or 6 Mitts and VO's |

Cozens disappointed last night in a big way.
Krebs gets absolutely demolished by Stutzle without the puck and he just stands there.
Krebs goes back after Stutzle and gets absolutely no backup as Cozens still just stands there.
I don’t need him out there fighting all the time and what not but at least stand up for your (frank)ing teammate, especially against a guy like Stutzle. - ImThatGuy
Was really surprised to see that. He's normally one of the few guys who will get involved. Maybe his wrist is still sore after that chop against Boston? Still, not a good look. |

Absolutely. This has been beat up a bit since my last post, but I think Lun said we need more tenacity, I'd say aggressiveness but same idea.
Being tougher in front of the net, closing gaps defensively, boxing guys out better and driving the net are all things that would help this team immensely. They need to attack, to be more aggressive in all situations.
None of those things show up in the hits column though, that's all. More of a nitpick of the stat than a disagreement of an overall toughness sentiment. I'm not sure toughness can be quantified unfortunately and that's what we need as you say. - QuinnFan

I see that side of the equation too.
Although, if KA/ ventura were looking to build a physical team, some of the current players would have been switched out.
The last draft seems like a skilled draft by the sabres.

I was thinking about him on Cozens and JJ's wing. But neither of them are pure shooters yet. JJ is getting there has had some bad puck luck with posts. Was wondering if Cozens Krebs Quinn would work. But Cozens and JJ seem to work good together. And yes they did sometimes. |

Tage and dahlin kinda stand alone as mega superstars.
Those o5/06 teams were more evenly distributed with talent.
Hope you're right, welcome back |

Mike Grier, Adam Mair, and Adrew Peters disagree. We have no one resembling any of them. |

Just find it a big problem when they lock out the 3rd line. That's where you want to play your younger skilled players.

They don't seem to have a plan for that at the moment. Unless there willing to call up a few youngins and try it and make the proper decision to use them 2 as movable assets |

Our defense has been horrendous and multiple odd man rushes against.
No goalie can fix this only the team in front of them can |

That's fair, they seem to be building a finesse group of forwards all the way down. At the same point, can you blame them for Savoie even if that was their top priority? It isn't as though there were any power forwards drafted around him. I guess Geekie qualifies as big, but a big teddy bear is more like it. |

So Asplund gets a pass for not putting up offense, but Vinnie Hinnie - who has more points than Asplund in nearly half the games - is a problem?
I get Asplund is the defensive maestro du jour but at some point he's got to contribute offense or he's just a 4th line Larry like Hinostroza - Hank Balling

Do they come home, or just stay there for Thursday?
I'm guessing it's just easier to stay. |

I’m a huge Cozens fan but I’m starting to worry he’s not going to amount to much. Quinn is not ready. Need another year in Rochester |
