Cozy is 21, we need to relax over here.
no other fan base has the expectations some here set
- DirtyDan
It’s like ppl expect every 1st round player to be a great NHLer a year or 2 after they’re drafted
It usually takes some time
Just look at Tage for example
He was wretched with us as a 21year old (remember that spin move?! 🤣🤣)
Even as a 23year old he didn’t look much better
Broke out last year, at age 24
MOST of these kids take time to grow into the player they’ll be- good, bad or in between
So many here just don’t have any patience for that though
If the player is t producing right away, he’s garbage
Lolololol

I know +/- is a fickle stat but
Jacob Bryson is a -12... the next worst on the team is Mitts with a -5. After those 2 the worst consist of who you would think. Pilut, Fitz, Krebs, Olof...
Dahlin Samuelsson and Asplund lead the team. - DirtyDan
That tells me +/- is sometimes correct. |

A buddy of mine works at Tops
Said they projected to do about $220,000 in sales yesterday
By dinner time, they did over $400,000 in sales
Ppl going crazy
Snowstorm is gonna last a couple days
Hasn’t even started snowing in the city yet - jdfitz77
I went there last night and it was madness. Worse than the early days of COVID. Shelves were empty of essentials and even non-essentials like yogurt. Weird. |

I mean, are you high?
Dahlin - a norris trophy caliber defenseman... for a 2rd or l2 forward. I can't even wrap my brain around it
Power - a 19 year old playing top pair 25 minutes a night... for a 2RD or L2 forward. I can't even wrap my brain around it.
Tage - a top 20 forward in the NHL, on his way to being top 10... for a 2 RD or L2 forward. I can't even wrap my brain around it.
Edit: after that every player in the organization is expendable. Dylan Cozens is the only other player i would try to protect in a trade. - lacaprup
Exactly my feelings. Thanks.
From a previous post, it was stated the following are all ancillary parts and not enough value much, even when packaged for those positional needs:
Olofsson
Mitts
Asplund
Girgensons
Krebs
Joker
3 - 2023 2nds
Prospects not named Savoie nor Kulich
So, in order to acquire those positions of need, shall we assume then that it comes down to only 2023-1st, Savoie and Kulich creating enough value ( assumed with pieces from above)? |

Very correct in my assessment here, rid yourself of the bottom dwellers(Half the D corps) and you should be way better

+/- isn't a bad stat, when you get rid of empty net goals both ways

I think we can all agree it'd be nice to have a guy or 2 that actually throw their weight around and can play in his own end at the least.
The only forwards with a hit per game are Cozens and Okposo. - DirtyDan
Any suggestions who to go after?

I am calling Arizona for Chychrun and make a deal. I think Arizona would bite on some of our young . Injury is a concern. - sabresfan69
I’ve always liked Chychrun- wanted us to draft him when we took Nylander 🤮🤮🤮
But that would give us 4 LH shots in the top4
I suppose that’s workable, bc Chychrun can play RD
But it’s not the balance we’re looking for either
Interesting idea
We’d have to consider team salary structure too though
Paying 3 defensemen big $$$ would be tough to do long term |

That's fair, they seem to be building a finesse group of forwards all the way down. At the same point, can you blame them for Savoie even if that was their top priority? It isn't as though there were any power forwards drafted around him. I guess Geekie qualifies as big, but a big teddy bear is more like it. - QuinnFan
🤝
No way they pass on savoie.
The Sabres definitely got bigger under KA
Tuch
Power
Resigning samuelsson/ tage

Do you think the issue is the creature comfort of the fans or players that is causing the move?
Seems to me that the traditional problem of not being able to maneuver on the streets is the issue...the problem of actually getting g players to the statium and the Browns equipment trucks making it from Cleveland is the issue. Dome isn't helping that. - IonSabres
Buffalo …. especially the south towns has plenty of plows. Also highways are the first things to get plowed normally.
Even if the bills didn’t play with fans. The game would still be played here.
Digging out the stadium is half the problem. The resources the nfl is talking about is getting people to dig out the seats.
The field also would need help

I am lost, are you comparing Chyrchun to Kaleta? |

Cozens is giving 100%, I'm not sure how much blame should fall on a 21 year olds shoulder? |

If Cozens is a 3C and Mitts is a 4C, it's just a little disappointing....especially when draft and develop is 100% of the plan.

Absolutely.
I'm an optimist, and feel like mitts is still a 3c and cozens a 2c.
Cozens doesnt worry me at all. Hopefully he will start cashing in on his chances. |

"Free" tickets from Vettix.
They have a lot of UB games, concerts, shows, and other stuff around the area.
It's a pretty great perk.
I've been to about 60 Preds games since I've signed up.
I'm actually going tonight. - jochfr
Sweet yeah I will look more into it, Thanks |

A good 3C isn't the end of the world, but Mitts time is almost up. 4C would be best for the team atm, but they are stubborn about him....hopefully in trying to trade him down the road. |

Well getting Cleveland here, most teams leave on Saturday now could be a issue. And not all Bills players live in the Southtownes |

IF there really will be 3'+ of snow, it will be a disaster for travel. As the plows will struggle to keep up with it. Best thing is happening at night, at east the volume of traffic will be low, coupled with work closures early Friday AM.
The Thruway is the first thing to get F'd up.
There will be plenty of cars stranded on it.
South Buffalo will be a disaster

Cozens disappointed last night in a big way.
Krebs gets absolutely demolished by Stutzle without the puck and he just stands there.
Krebs goes back after Stutzle and gets absolutely no backup as Cozens still just stands there.
I don’t need him out there fighting all the time and what not but at least stand up for your (frank)ing teammate, especially against a guy like Stutzle. - ImThatGuy
Is Cozens the next Poontang Gaustad??? Smells like
It so far. |

He makes Cody Hodgson look like Wayne Gretzky. Just because guys are good at world juniors doesn’t make them good nhlers |

Wouldn't have enough time to move it all

People ripping on Cozens for not stepping in might want to remember he hurt his wrist or hand in the scrum in front of the net last game. Was icing it in the penalty box and twisting and turning it. Could be something to think about. |
