we're not supposed to have them here but like 10 years ago we did. i was standing in my bathroom and noticed the medicine cabinet door was swaying a little bit. then i noticed the toilet water was moving. then i could feel it so i knew what it had to be. i went to a doorway and waited and it was over in just a few more seconds. it was weird. like that feeling when you're standing on the edge of the ocean and you start to feel dizzy or whatever that feeling is.

The quake, measured as 3.0-magnitude by the U.S. Geological Survey, had its epicentre just north of Laval in the Terrebonne area at 9:23 p.m.

The last time people around the Delaware Valley jumped from their chairs and yelled "what was that?" was back in August of 2011.

That's when a 5.8 magnitude earthquake struck near Richmond, Virginia.

Even though that's 230 miles away from Philadelphia, it was clearly felt here and even caused damage.
