On all the Torts talk in here maybe it's been said but I haven't seen it around lately but I think he says his things in the media because he knows the media will eat it up. Torts knows he can direct all the heat onto him and that gives a little bit of a reprieve on the young guys trying to develop and learn.

I try to call things for what they are, and last night I thought Torts was an Idiot with a capital 'I'! First I hated his interview in the middle of the first period. Its OK to tell your team they Suck, but you don't tell a national TV audience that. There is no benefit what-so-ever to it except to stroke his ego on TV by creating a soundbite which he did. Secondly and much more importantly, the players Torts deployed in the OT was just plain stupid! Hayes should not be 10 miles from a 3 on 3 game! I would have played Provey or DeAngelo on defense, and either Frost and TK, or Farabee and Willman. Its 3 on 3, there is plenty of open-ice, lets put out players with actual foot speed and see if they can generate something! I'm not a Frost fan, but if Torts is not going to play Frost 3 on 3, then why the hell is he keeping Frost on the roster?? You might as well just waive or trade him at this point, its a complete waste. Torts was an Idiot last night!

I would disagree that he is trash. He did a decent job in Philly. Was smart to take an assistant's job to learn the league better and now seems to be doing a decent job in Seattle.

Yes. I remember first thinking this when Hayes was playing injured (pre- and post-surgeries) his foot sped was so bad. I just don’t see enough defense prowess anymore from him. He had some moments in his first year as a Flyer but not much since.

Frost need 19 minutes every night, and better linemates.

Had 4 shots and a goal in the first period, and then only 1 shot the rest of the way, and only 6-16 on faceoffs. Would like to see Gauthier show up for 3 periods instead of only 1.
