There are quite a few bad teams. The Flyers have a really good young goalie. They have Provorov. TK has been really good and Farabee is playing well. Everyone else is being asked to play outside of their depth in my opinion.

I also think they have a player in Noah Cates. They just need to put him on the 3rd line wing where he belongs.

What teams do you think have a lesser core? Those you mention are complimentary types. They players you build around? Not sold on Hart just yet. Lets see how the rest of the year goes.

Give it 10 days until Brown and AA are in the fold.

Let’s just play all 4C talent centers on each line and see what happens!

Monty seems to be a decent coach.

I agree that none of the players I listed are players you build around. The west has quite a few awful teams. The BlackHawks are terrible and do not really have anything to build around longterm. The Coyotes have zero talent. The Sharks have a few players but they are bad and will stay bad for awhile.

It is hard to argue that there is a worse roster and cap situation combo in the league.

Just looking at the record and their injuries I concur.

Carter Hart's last 3 starts:

@CBJ .848 SV%
OTT .885 SV%

Prior to that he had only one game below .933 SV% in 8-games.

He has played well the last three games. Just human. I do not think he could be faulted for any of the five last night. He made three or four great saves as well last night.

Imagine firing a bad GM to replace him with a worse GM.

He is in that middle (hopefully) at the end of the day. All about consistency.

The vezina talk has quieted it seems.

Stats for goalies do not always tell the true picture. You need to see first hand to get an appreciation.

The tank is back on schedule. Hart cannot play as best goalie in the league, which is fine. TK and Hayes are really only the offense. The race for worst record must be won. A guaranteed shot at either Bedard or Fantilli is a just reward. Thank goodness, Fletcher assembled such a roster.

Getting kicked in the face by a horse is no joke.
Good thing the players don't help in the barn.
Any player getting a hoof to the doom would have to retire.

Don't think he's playing badly -- the Superman cape has just come off.

It would seem so. Hopefully he can stay consistent and make it through the year injury free. This will be a tough year.

I feel like it might be a good idea to just forfeit that one and head for some poutine in Montreal..

That will be a destruction 5 or 6 0 and that's if our tender stands on his head..

Just being realistic. Fletcher has to be fired is the first step. We can be concerned that they'll hire someone as bad or worse. His firing still has to happen for the franchise to move forward.
All teams for the most part that achieved top 2 picks were from bad managrment decisions. They need to be in the top 5 by the New Year for a real shot at first overall.

If they don't change the organizational core philosophies. Firing the GM won't matter.
