Any update on Phil Myers for those that have seenhim play this season. Stat line says 9 GP out of 16. Little over 11 minutes per game - furio16
He will win the Norris

Myers got 16 minutes in the 4-1 win over the Flames. So he definitely made progress. |

Overall I thought the Flyers really lacked jump in their step for the first two periods, and maybe because of the back to back PPs to start the 3rd propelled them a bit because they had more jump in the 3rd. TK and DeAngelo I specifically noticed had less jump in their game than I have seen them this season. I thought Provorov had one of his worst games of this year, just made some bad defensive plays on the 1sr and 3rd goals specifically. I actually thought the Bruins did not play a good game last , compared to how they have been playing this season, but in the end they turned it on when they needed to and won the game.
I will give credit to Morgan Frost, I thought this was one of his best games in a quite a while from him. I noticed him just about every shift he played, especially in the 3rd period when he played a bit with Farabee and Tippet. I have said for a while now that Hayes in holding those kids back because he is a lumbering loathe. I hope Torts moves Frost up and for a game or two and lets him play with Tippet and Farabee, because they have good foot speed and potential. |

Tortorella still talking about playing hard. - MJL
This is flat-out dis-information from you, not surprising! The main focus of Tort's comments tonight was the Flyers need to make more offensive plays, and these plays need to come from their top offensive guys. He must have said this about 4 times throughout his interview so stop with the BS!
And you get "pissed" when you see ND out there. Well, in case you haven't been paying attention, the Flyers lost TK for the 3rd last night, and for the season they have been without Couturier, Atkinson and JVR. Do you think possibly if these 3 were playing that players like ND would be getting less minutes?? |

I would agree and this is the draft to have worst record. I understand this will be a long process. So I want Brown, Deslaurais, and MacEwan to get plenty of ice time this season. Unleash Risto. This is not the season for moral victories. I'll take as many 4-1 losses as possible this season and never complain about it. - Trox88

There is no coach in the history of the NHL that could turn this untalented group into a a winner.
That being said My issue so far is usage and line combos. Hopefully, I doubt it, this coach realizes he needs to look to the future. Simply amazed they handed out 4 million per for a coach when this team just has very little talent. Cement head Lappy could do the same thing for a fraction of the cost.
Him saying the team sucks will wear thin fast. We know it sucks coach this is supposed to be an “evaluation” “rebuild” year. My ass. His methods will not work on this team in any way. Didn’t he say in the beginning they lack skill and will need to grind out 2-1 type wins. Now he is saying they need to score more. Can’t even grind out the wins now he is pretty much saying lol. What a fraud this guy is on this team. It will be a broken record with clichés, hell it already is there. Such a bad hire. Hopefully it blows up in their face.
How Roberts can sit back and just allow this to continue is a crime. The Flyers are dead. Their aura is dead. Anything associated with past success with them is dead. Flush it all out. Every single person. Start 100% fresh. Until that stink is washed away you will not see any positive results.
On a side note glad to see Kevin Hayes up his value with the Bruins for next summer’s trade.

Now Frost - who you have said is what he is, that he does not have "the goods", now needs to play with skilled players based on one game
you should change your screen name to EMF - you're unbelievable |

By top offensive guys you mean the guys he scratches and gives the least amount of ice time to?
One of the the many core issues that have driven lifelong fans away from this organization is that what the management and coaches say is so obviously betrayed by their actions that we feel disrespected by being asked to trust them. |

It’s not that he dresses guys incapable of making plays, we have too many bad players on horrible contracts to avoid that, it’s that we scratch, limit the ice time and improperly use the few players that can or possibly could make a play. |

Not to mention that players who are capable of making plays, don't get ice time. Tortorella is proving to be a clown to me. He's doing a horrendous job.

I wasted my time forever. First in an attempt to educate, which proved to be not possible then for entertainments sake. It lost its luster.

On the bright side I don’t see him finishing his contract here. |

They've certainly improved their process over the past few games in terms of corsi and expected goals. But the talent discrepancy is rearing its ugly head. If Konecny (and who knows how long he'll be out), Hayes, Tippett are not scoring, no one is. Plus, Hart has come back down to Earth a bit. |

Also, what does York need to do to earn a call-up? Guy's got 9 points in 11 games in the AHL. |

Has he cross checked anyone? Gotten into any fights? How is he in scrums after the whistle? Is he blocking shots? How well is he chipping pucks off the glass? Is he playing the right way and playing Flyer hockey? Until he improves in those areas. Points don't matter, he needs to stay in the AHL.

He has to play the Torts way. The Flyers way. Lay big hits and clear that crease!
Ideal development would be to do it the Zamula way, call him up and sit him in the press box because practicing with the big club makes perfect...
Or something.
