well it's not about the next 3 games then with months still to go
- deadpoulet

do like Caulfield does, break the season into 5 games at a time, focus on the short term. lost 2 in a row....3 more to go

I dunno, folks sometimes like to follow the careers of guys that used to be on their team, especially when they used to be the captain.

I get why you would want a top 5 pick but not sure why you still care about watching the games hoping your own team will lose

no fun in that

watch the kids play, learn, develop. I love the game but with the system currently in place, rebuilding via the draft is by far the best way to go. The NHL sees an excellent draft every 5-10yrs...and 2023 is one of those, THIS IS the year go low and grab a high end prospect, potentially generational.

You're not wrong. But that said, you also want the current young players on the team to play well, learn and even succeed a little, no?

he should never have been either

he was a good player but I think most fans love suzuki

I guess you have to want a high draft pick so bad to the point where it makes losses enjoyable, but I just can't get in that mindset. for me it's more of a nice consolation prize after sucking so bad lol.

sure, they can win 25-30 games lol

I don't want them to tank with an horrible product on the ice, that's not what they are doing anyway.

During their hot stretch, netminders were playing WAY above expectations, unsustainable. They will have their ups and downs all season, kids are developing, learning how the NHL works.

Instead of going 7-3...maybe go 4-6 or 3-7 in 10 games stretches is what I am expecting.

I think so, we shall see. I am just afraid of them having a decent half season and costing them a fantastic pick in this coming draft. The rebuild has to be sustainable...meaning high quality assets acquired via the draft.

some of the teams currently in the bottom 12 will climb up, they don't belong there.

I enjoy the wins but just glad they are scoring some goals in the losses. Two 6-4 losses recently were fun to watch on the offensive side at least though last night was a bit frustrating.
