I read that he gets easily bumped off the puck and laugh. For a small guy he is surprisingly competitive in puck battles. Even initiating contact to create space. He shows his hockey IQ pretty much every game with how he moves the puck quickly and accurately. He is clearly a skilled player that lacks offensive confidence. I wonder why?
Keep with scoring line players and give his sufficient ice time, including PP time for the rest of the season and see what happens.

seems simple right, I don't blame the posters complaining about him, I blame management for just not giving it a runway to play out. Who knows, maybe they will now, we can only hope

Frost is ready to play regular minutes against other teams top line players? No he is not. So your idea is to regularly put him in those situations and if he fails he is not an NHL level player. Are you employed by the Flyers?

I want him to produce just like everyone else. It may never happen. However, throwing him to the wolves every night will ensure it does not. Give those matchups to Hayes. Neither option is good for the Flyers chances of winning. However, getting Frost matched up appropriately will help his development. That's what it should be about this year.

It's really common sense. Although with all the injuries, there isn't a lot the Flyers can do it about it right now. Which is why this is a long term look for the season. Some apparently believe that he should be instantly producing at a top 6 level as soon as he is given more ice time and better linemates. Hopefully the Flyers can get some players and slot him better for development. None of this is an excuse. It's simply the facts of the situation.

Agreed on the give and take. Obviously not a great start for him but he is not going to be a better player than we have seen from him already. We’ve seen pretty darn close to his ceiling. He’s never gonna be a PP producer, he’s not going to turn into an elite shutdown guy. He is what he is.

I think he can produce better on the PP but I don't ever see him being a first unit PP defenseman at a high level. He has not played as well as he can so far this season. He needs to be better.

You can’t have it both ways. The team is void of talent, he’s getting a chance. Complaining about his opposition isn’t warranted.

agree and not to some degree, there should be no complaining but there also needs to be context as Frost is evaluated, bottom line for me, Frost is getting reps and he is getting chances, he needs to close the deal, put the puck or set up a slam dunk, get some confidence and go from there.

it is the context I refer to, there is no way to hide him from the top lines, let it roll and see how it goes. It has been 3 games he has been playing with more talented players, some act like it is a lifetime

Just look like you belong right now. I though he had a decent game in Montreal. Didn’t see Calgary but heard whole team was bad but specially his line.

Some act like Frost shouldn't be held accountable at all. ZM is out producing him. That is sad. Will it keep up over the rest of the season? We shall see.

Correct, no blame to the player at all. He has not been good enough. You should be able to prove yourself to some extent regardless of who’s out there.

It was a stupid contract to give Sanheim and one made out of desperation. Sanheim did not show anything that remotely made him a defenseman you commit 8 years to. This is one of the worst contracts Fletcher has orchestrated, and he has had some doozies!

I’ve never been a big fan of his over all game….and I agree that the contract is just another over pay by a GM who seems to do it every single time. This one is ugly. There are parts of Sanheims game that I do like, which is the ability to out skate opponents with his speed and make things tough on the opposition….it just has NEVER been a consistent part of his game and seems to have vanished this year. How the Flyers keep committing to guys who haven’t been able be consistent with their over all game is mind boggling. Not only has Fletcher done a piss poor job , he’s tying the hands of his eventual replacement.

Jason Robertson has 29 pts and us a +14 this year. 2nd round pick, 39th overall. Ouch! Helps when you actually have and hit on your 2nd round picks!

That's one Fletcher does well that we can all agree with, he ties his hands a lot!

ZM has actually improved his game quite a bit this year….no I don’t think should ever sniff a top 6 roll, but in comparison to a lot of the current lineup who else is bringing more that’s playing less? I think his over all usage speak’s volumes to how poor the lineup actually is.

That is part of it sure. Not the only part. Coach loves him some ZM.

Hextall tinkering in Pitt, falling flat on his face. He STINKS.
