They have a legit chance to finish dead last in the league between Chucklehead’s mismanagement and injuries, so yeah, why not?

They are pretty much a lock to finish no better than 5th from the bottom so at worst, they’re picking 7th. This draft has about 10-12 players that I think are better prospects than Gaudreau and at least 5, and maybe as many as 7 guys with at least a 50/50 shot of being 1C’s so they should be in very good shape.

My hope is that near the deadline they offer him to playoff contention team on his limited trade list and offer to retain 90+% of this year's cap hit if they take full freight going forward. Honestly wouldn't care what we get back...even if it's a roll of stick tape!
