This is a great question worthy of serious consideration. Young teams need to learn how to win. Sens have had multiple games where they deserved a better result. But we have seen them give up weak goals at really bad times (near the end of the period, at the end of the game).

Nope but it wasn’t completely clear if you were talking about actually watching child porn or videos about child porn performances. The first is clearly illegal, the second just a bit disturbing depending on the frequency. - Canada Cup
Actually they are youtube videos of various pride events and parades or youtube videos exposing what is happening to young children in kindergarten and grade school. I don't deliberately search them out but you have to be completely blind if you don't see them from time to time. That's not surprising at all because I have friends who get their information from a newspaper or the television news and seem to be completely blissfully ignorant. |

Oh well, keep on fighting whatever it is you fighting even if you have to constantly watch disturbing videos of kids being abused.

I just saw that Boucher has been suspended again this time for going after a guy who hit Boucher's team mate in the head. Man that league has got it in for Boucher. |

Yes well we drafted a guy 10th overall who 'plays with an edge', and will more than likely perform as a 'modern goon' when all is said and done. Getting suspended multiple times in junior before the New Year ain't a good sign. |

He shouldn't have been suspended either time and in any other league he wouldn't have been. He's not a goon and I'm sure Sens fans will come to love him when he makes his appearance in a Sens jersey. |

Let's see if Ottawa can get a win against another back up goalie tonight, their 9th one this year. Incredible when you think about it. |

Why do they keep sticking that damn DeBrincat out there on the PP? I'm really getting sick of it. |

Even the tsn1200 guys on the radio are saying how both DeBrincat and Batherson are struggling with their confidence but they keep getting shifts, Gord Wilson said, I wonder when the coach will take away icetime to send a message!

As soon as the puck gets on DeBrincat's stick puck possession is over or PP pressure is over.
Dumb mistakes did them in. On the third goal Stutzle didn't know his man to cover. On the first goal the only guy near Vesy was Tkachuk but when Hammonic threw the puck around the boards to the Rangers point man Tkachuk did his blowing the zone routine and left Vesey all alone and it made no sense at all because the puck wasn't clearing the zone but just going to the Rangers' point man. |

Zero consistency, too much running around in the d zone. Chabot another 28 min TOI. Just ridiculous.

Very true. Those end of period goals have happened far too much. The NJ game 5 games ago, is a true testament to the late period goals killing this team.

Seems to me you are getting out-goalied most nights.
Want Murray back for a first rounder? |

I think Leafs should keep their 1st rounders... at least round 1 of the draft they can win |

This is exactly where coaching plays a big role. When they're approaching key pivot points like the last 2min of a period with a favorable game situation (e.g. a lead or tie), they need to pull back and learn how to just get through those 2min without incident. The damage of giving up a cheap goal after having played so well is just incalculable. Instead of having the intermission where you can celebrate your efforts and plan out the next period, you provide your opponents with a huge momentum swing, and wind up collectively starting the next period from a position of frustration. It's called game management... and playing smart hockey when you're getting the result you want. There's no evidence whatsoever of this mindset behind the bench.
Case in point with the comparison between OTT and LA, the Senators are just 1-4-1 in one-goal games... the Kings are 7-3-4 in one-goal games. Notice how that's not only a substantially different record, but more than twice the number of games that were decided by a single goal. Plus, the Senators got 3/12 (25%) possible points in those games, while the Kings got 18/28 possible points (64%). Plus, OTT has 5 games they've won by either 3 or 4 goals, which masks a lot of bad games... whereas LA has just 2 games with that margin of victory. Goals when you don't need them don't help you in games where you desperately need one. That's the difference between a team in 3rd place in their division vs. a team in 8th place in their division. |

One of the best posts on here in a long time. Game management is everything. It has lacked with Ottawa for over 3 seasons. End of story. The numbers don't lie. Boom!

It's like Formenton never was a part of this organization. So bizarre. So Dorion as he has never given the fan base a real explanation as to why AF is treated like he doesn't exist. As if AF wouldn't sign a cheap offer sheet to prove he belongs. Collusion at it's finest among the GM's and owners. AF the only unsigned RFA hmmm. AF could be compared to Barry Bonds when the MLB owners all colluded back in the day, nobody would sign him after 28 homers in 2007, but other players with far lesser stats got signed.

How does this foolish coach have a job in the NHL? 4-9-1 in November during the teams most crucial time to show if they are a contender or not. I don’t know how fans in ottawa do it with this dumb ass coach |

I don't know why this isn't said enough --- this defense core is NOT good enough this year* to get into the playoffs. It's a failure on PD and management for not getting a top 4 D-man sooner. It's better if they go until the deadline and get a top 10 pick OR trade the pick for a LEGIT top 4 D-man for the next 5-7 years |
