Let's look at the KFC trade record: PICK SWAPS and PLAYER SWAPS

6/29/2023 PICK SWAP
To CHI - 2024 2nd (Traded), Oscarson
To PHI - C. Bjarnason
TBD - Traded a 2nd for a lower 2nd the next year and got an extra 6th. Oscarson would have to be signed this summer, doesn't look like there's a spot for him. The PHI 2nd was traded for a pick used in the Vanacker trade.

6/28/2024 PICK SWAP
To CHI - Vanacker
To CAR - D. Badinka, N. Artamonov
TBD - All prospects right now.

-------------------------

1/5/2022 PLAYER-PLAYER
To CHI - Lafferty
To PIT - Nylander
WIN - Lafferty played well and was included in the TOR trade with McCabe.

6/29/2023 PICK-PLAYER
To CHI - Perry
To TB - J. Connor
LOSS - Ugh.

Fun game to watch tonight, Halifax at Chicoutimi, Chicoutimi eventually ran away with it 8-3. Some interesting players in this one:

Alonso Gosselin, Chicoutimi, (2025 eligible), 6-1, 196, LD, CS #124, Wiz NR, 40-2-5-7 - 1G tonight
Gosselin was well on his way to a Gordie Howe hat trick with an early goal and a fight. However, he got a game misconduct at the same time as the fight and his night was over.

Emile Guite, Chicoutimi, 6-2, 174, LW, CS #61, Wiz #68, 41-11-8-19 - 1G tonight
Guite was about a point-per-game player last year, but has had a down year. He was in the mix all game, and spent a lot of time in front of the net in the o-zone. Got a goal and had several chances. Think he was expected to be a late first rounder, but might be available later in the draft.

Alex Huang, Chicoutimi, 6-0, 161, RD, CS #90, Wiz #64, 45-3-16-19 - 1G tonight
Huang was skating and handling the puck well all night, and got a goal. Good speed, was able to easily walk the line on the PP. Nice low hard shots from the point. Down in scoring from last year when he had 36 points in 61 games.

Nathan Lecompte, Chicoutimi, 5-10, 165, RC, CS #204, Wiz #179, 42-11-24-35 - 1G tonight
Legacy story here. Eric Lecompte was a Round 1 pick for Chicago in 1993 (#23 overall) - LW, 6-5, 190. Eric scored about a point-per-game in the QMJHL, and also had impressive PIM there (149-169-223 in 3 years in the Q). Played for Indy for a while but never in the NHL. Played a long time in Switzerland too - scored and racked up PIM everywhere.

Son Nathan plays at Chicoutimi now. He is a lot smaller than his dad, but has good speed and likes to go to the net. Scored a goal close in on a rebound. Seems like a good scorer with speed but needs some developing. Might be a candidate for one of the late round picks.

Alec Nasreddine, Halifax, 5-11, 183, LW, CS NR, 45-0-3-3 -
This is the son of Alain Nasreddine who got a cup of coffee for the Blackhawks long ago - Alain got prodigious PIM everywhere (775 PIM in 4 years in the Q) but didn't score much. Alec has not scored or gotten PIM so far - it looks like this is his draft year but he is not ranked.

Liam Kilfoil, Halifax, 5-11, 176, LC, CS #96, Wiz #142, 44-16-16-32 - 1G 1A tonight
Kilfoil was attacking and in deep most of the night and got 2 points. Was watching others so did not follow him closely.
