That's kinda what they do these days. Fire it from the point a million times and look for a rebound or a deflection.
Getting Teravainen and Pacioretty back into the lineup will help with that. - BINGO!
Pens need to adopt some of this mentality. The PP is almost laughable these days. |

Double edged sword because it's really predictable, right? If you rely too heavily on it you can end up going through some real dry spells. It's great for keeping the forecheck rolling if that's what you wanna do but if you actually want to score goals it doesn't have a very good success rate. |

I'm not saying they do it exclusively, but the Pens have become predictable in the other direction. Especially on the PP. Teams just pressure the puck carrier and prevent the cross ice pass. It's like clockwork. |

Crazy how they've completely abandoned the one timer as a option A, B or C on the PP

For the PP perhaps, we all think the points should be shooting more, but I've endured too many years of complaining around here regarding the Perimeter Pens.. They changed it up the past few seasons, there's been a lot more going to the net and its paid off. I also think perimeter play is even less favourable in playoffs. Pens weren't perimeter and scored a ton in that Rangers series vs last season's Vezina demi-God. |

Id put Rak on the PP. Dude has a quick shot.
Rust kinda sucks at this point. Maybe a trade bait?
Dump Kap anyway possible. |

Rak and Rust should absolutely be swapped on the PP right now. |

Yeah.. I just don't think he's a needle mover at all nor would he be the answer. When the Pens are playing bad it's on a lot more than just the pairings. - MattStrat
Fair enough he's not a needle mover, just a very solid minutes eater. Just think they'd benefit from the younger legs. |

Brian Boyle has more natural hockey talent than Kap, other guys in the lineup are just smarter and make the most of their minutes. Is Rust allowed to do nothing and stay in the top six? - Grinder47
I'll agree with the smarter and make the most of their minutes part.
And that's a great question on Rust. Whichever line he goes to stops scoring. |

Swap Rust and Archibald for a game or two. I highly doubt he’s playing through an injury at this point in the season. |
