If they were anywhere other than Qatar I think that would be a distinct possibility. But alas, the Iranian government would probably kill all of their families. |

Do you see his "production" getting nay better in the next couple years with this trash roster and farm system?
Not selling low. He is what he is as a player. He will not be getting any better imo. He is now a vet. Change of scenery would likely do him good.
So do you want to re-sign him for 8 years when his contract is eligible for an ext? - furio16
It’s management’s job to improve this te whether you have faith in them or not. If the Flyers get a first overall pick in the next two or three seasons, anything is possible.
Provorov is only in his mid 20’s, so yes I think his production can improve. No I don’t think the Flyers should move him. In fact I think it would be a short sited mistake. We can revisit this discussion in 2025. We don’t have to think of re-signing him for a couple years, so why is this a subject? |

Well, a conpetent GM would trade Laughton at the deadline if there was a buyer, which I think there will be even with years left on the contract.

My list of players to trade if there is a belief we can improve starts with Laughton, JvR and Atkinson. I actually like all three players but I think their careers are much closer to the end then they are the beginning. In Laughton’s case, I think his deal looks much better on a contender than here. |

Absolutely agree. The compensation will probably only draft pick compensation, but that is fine for where the team is at currently.

His production hasn't shown signs of improvement.
How will it improve with this talentless roster?
As I asked you earlier what does keeping Ivan on this team in 2022 accomplish? How about next season?

The best possible return for Atkinson or JvR is cap space. |

What does moving him accomplish? What are we moving him for? Ivan Provorov is signed to a favorable deal. If I’m reading you correctly, you want to move him because you don’t have faith the Flyers can improve from now to 2025. You’ve doomed us to never getting better. Well if this is the case, trade Carter Hart too. There is no reason to talk about resigning Provorov for a couple of years, so why is this a subject? |

. I know, I know..... - Trox88 Laughton is now an injury prone player. His value peaked 2 seasons ago and should have been moved at that time. While he probably has some value who knows with most teams being capped out.
They thing many miss is I do not think they want to trade Laughton TK Ivan and the like. Funny as hell.
JVR Braun are probably the only 2 who are likely to be moved most would agree. Maybe a Sedlac though I see him getting an ext. I would say Seeler can get you a 6th though again the coach and GM love him; plus has a cheap contract for next season. So do you keep or for arguments sake take the 6th?

Why does anyone even engage with you I have no idea.
What does moving him accomplish. The fact you can’t figure it out is not a surprise. You just have no long or mid range vision. In fact no vision.
I would have no issue moving Hart. I do not think he has the value that makes it worth trading.
So do you have faith the Flyers will be contenders by 2025? Yes or no will suffice.
Should this team be rebuilding? Again yes or no will suffice.

This is a question for yourself because you’re the “smart guy” engaging with me.
There is a lot about this fanbase I don’t understand.
1. You talk about wanting to lose to win the first overall pick but get upset when you lose games.
2. You don’t want Johnny Gaudreau because we’re a bad team anyway but the day of free agency, get upset when we don’t sign him.
3. You want to trade certain guys without any idea of what to trade these certain guys for but once your wish comes true, you’re not gonna be happy with the return. I’d rather roll the dice on Ivan Provorov improving than to trade him because it sounds like a good idea.
The truth is, you desperately believe you’re right and it drives you crazy anyone would dare disagree with you. |

The bolded is absolutely disrespectful towards someone elses opinion simply because you don't share the same one. It does not need to be said nor does the condescension or the tone of your posts towards those with differing opinions need to be done.
Two examples so let's reign it in. Won't be anymore examples given or warnings.
Let's be clear here, you have reported posts with similar disrespect of other posters so you know very well what you're doing. |

1. wrong
2. wrong again
3. continue to be wrong.
The truth is more posters (the non marks) than not agree a tear down is in order. You start that by trading the vets who have been here and have not done anything to help this team win. What drives me crazy is responding to you though then again it is rather entertaining. You disagreeing reinforces my stance. |

I’m not wrong, I stated exactly what went down this past summer.
Gee, why aren’t you the general manager of a professional sports franchise instead of sitting here on hockeybuzz talking to me?
Speaking of which, knower of all. I asked you what you expect to get for Provorov. I believe we’d be selling low as stated. Which is why not not going out of my way to give the answer you desperately want because I don’t feel it’s important to. |

Do you really need it explained to you what you trade him for? You get picks, young NHL or close to ready players, and probably a cap dump. This isnt hard to figure out. You get assets that help you build toward the future.
I am trying to educate you is why I am talking with you. Trying to show you the plan that needs to be taken. You should be more appreciative.
