Sources say #sjsharks have made 2018 first-round pick D Ryan Merkley available. Merkley recently requested a trade and Sharks are trying to accommodate.

Merkley, 22, has played 39 NHL games and still has waiver eligibility.

I think the main issue is that he apparently has slow decision making. From what Sharks fans have been saying.

Horvat to the Kings for a 1st, 3rd, and a couple prospects.

Kings system was overrated due to where they were picking and how many times they picked. They still look like they have some possible NHL regulars there though.

Reminds me of Rangers system, the team wasn't going to take a big step because of the prospects.

Just checked the standings and see that the 2nd highest team point total, are 8 back of top spot, with the top team having 3 games in hand.

If you trade for them, you may as well play them, because at this point, it doesn't matter.

Also, the league is loaded with fringe nhl ers, who should be in the AHL. Maybe the league should expand again.

Imo best position is a winger who drives play scores & set up like Kane. On the PP a trigger man who draws 2x coverage for easy passes for goals.

Thinking the same how both teams loaded up on prospects but really hasn’t panned out as ppl thought. That said the LAK have some very good prospects I’d want. Good for our needs but Bo in the division will be a pain in the ass if he resigns. That’s the risk but a necessary one if LAK bite.
