Tampa had a similar strong 2nd period against Boston the other night, the only difference is they couldn't convert and thus they lost a close game. Tonight against the Flyers it was a different story. Look, Tampa is infinitely more talented than the Flyers, and if they played 100 games against each other, the games would look a lot like this.

I get a huge kick when an 82 game losing season and all the cumulative effects of that are compared to a 24 game on going season. This is so much better than last year. Last year's 10 game losing streaks were much worse than this year's.

He’s been better….but honestly when you trade what they did, then sign him to that contract , over all he’s been a disappointment. The guy put up 4 seasons of 40 plus points…where’s that guy? Why no opportunity on the PP? Can’t keep blaming the team….if the Flyers just want to change him into this defensive d man, that he’s never been, then I don’t see how anyone could see a fit? Last year and now. This is just another symptom to what ails the Flyers.

Did anyone give Ristolainen any credit for staying strong in that 5 minute shift where he got hurt, his forwards kept failing to clear and he kept playing?

My biggest take away from last night is, when something looks like it’s working, Torts bails on it. Much like sitting Hayes and Konency the entire third period of the sharks game. In this instance, getting DeAngelo the hell off the top pair and replacing him with Risto looks like an improvement, especially for Provorov. However, even with multiple mistakes and a strong five minutes by Risto where everything was gonna wrong, decided to put DeAngelo back on the top pair…

I'm not a huge Dave Grohl fan but I do like me some Foo Fighters. Their series, "Sonic Highways" is incredible. Anyone that enjoys music and how many different styles/genres are interconnected will like the series. I have the DVDs, not sure where you can find it streaming. Sorry.

The Flyers way would be to beat one of those top teams and then lose to AZ.
