So, they won't have a problem down the road because of all the 1st and 2nds that have been handed out like candy?

No, Raty and Bloom are the years they didn't pick.

Daniel Gee scouting didn't give a rave review about him. For Stillman it was great value but I doubt he was actually a top 10 player in Buffalo's farm system.

I'm not saying Daniel Gee is like super scout but the perspective he had on him put my thoughts into order for the guy.

I guess Will Lockwood type player but not as physical.

Everything I read says he is a good forechecker and PK guy, sounds like a decent 3rd line potential player.

Scenario's

https://www.sportsnet.ca/...s-for-the-2023-nhl-draft/

Mock ups from this guys list.

Option 1: Canucks stay at 11 and pick Axel Sandin Pellikka

Option 2: Trade down to 17 with Detroit with Canucks 2nd (43). C Nate Danielson or C Brayden Yager and 2nd round options C Danny Nelson, C Anton Wahlberg, RHD Maxim Strbak

Option 3: Trade down to 19 with Chicago with Chicago 2nd (35) W Wood or RHD Wallinder and LHD Etienne Morin, C Noah Dower Nilsson, C Mathieu Cataford.

Option 4: Trade down to 25 with Stl with Dallas 1st (30) C Calum Ritchie or W Kasper Hulttunen and W Nick Lardis or C Gracyn Sawchyn

Picked these 3 trade downs because those teams have picks that would equal near same value as Van's 11th.

At least 50 percent of the prospects who are "natural centers" when they're drafted end up being wingers. Many scouts projected Byfield as an NHL wingers and so far that's what he's been for the most part. He may be a winger for most of his career whether they get PLD or not.

I've seen different scouts words about Yager, Danielson, Moore, Stenberg all being wingers in the NHL and not centers.

This is why unless the player listed as a winger is insanely more talented you should pick the C.

I’m hoping for Yager at 20 unless one of the D slips.

Eduard Sale is a pretty good pick. If the draft wasn't so deep he probably goes top 10.
