"Even Hayes has surprisingly put up some points...".
Hayes is playing better since Torts put him on wing. Less defensive responsibility for Hayes, which improves his offense. Watching the Flyers this year can be brutal at times, but it's fun to watch Tippett on the ice. |

Wish Tippett could find a way to be more consistent. Playing style slightly different but he reminds me a lot of Jake debrusk. Some really good tools that disappears for long stretches |

Small detail but impressive how Farabee put his shot to the left pad so the rebound came right out in front. Baby Bull pounced on it. Smart play. Nice when it works. |

Just a smarter play in general for the situation. Don’t force the pass, avoid the high and wide, try and keep the play going |

You beat Colorado but the Avs you beat the Eagles lol injuries killing us this year. 5 of our top 6 forwards out and 2 of our top 4 D out - Avs303

I don't remember Hayes ever putting up points like this. I'm cheering for the guy and I love when he points his finger up to his brother when he scores. It chokes me up. I won't even lie - Bob Habib
I heard best 20 game pace of career.
Hey god willing he continues to play well in losing efforts raising his whata guy status and we can get a playoff bound sucker that sees a "special value" or need for a playoff run.

so far the battle between
York
Caufield
Newhook
we have not picked up our weapon yet.
Confident all these games for York on the A will get him on the correct path to get into the battle.

Bill, any possible insight as to why Clarke looked to be sitting in one of the boxes last night looking fairly formal?

Ellis probably gone forever |

The injuries really are the best thing that could have happened this season.
This FO, and ownership team is clearly very willing to live in the fallacy that they are close to competing.
Killing any hope of that is a good thing, no matter how it happens.
It’s not about actual success, it’s more about ensuring the optics are maintained that everything is going well.

He is flyers new faceoff coach. |

Ellis probably gone forever - THE EVIL WITHIN
Fletcher is unconcerned. His former 1st round pick Dumba is a RHD and is available.

Right. This is the kind of in-game commentary that we were just talking about with Dorney and to a lesser extent Clement. Jones just doesn't talk about good fundamentals or head's up plays.
Eddy O is great about that. |

Even if this miraculous event happens it'll be feltcher making the trade. Aside from the niskanen trade what other moves has he made that worked out? The Roo trade is still TBD but we lost Roo because of chuck's gid awful cap management in the first place.
Maybe Hayes is trying to play his way off of this team. I wouldn't blame him |

You could make an argument it's the worst because it'll be the excuse why everyone in the office, including Fletcher, will be back. |

I wouldn't agree that they lost Giroux because of cap management. They could've made the room to re-sign him. It was mutual interest from both sides in moving on.

Do tou think so? I assumed that if they had the cap they would have signed Roo to another contract. I'd rather pay Roo than pay RR. It just seems like another poorly planned and though out blunder by our GM, imo.
I'm happy Roo got out of here though, although I wouldn't have wanted CF to pay Roo what he makes in Ottawa.
Roo seemed bitter once his name came up in trade rumors, anyway. But after this franchise wasted away his prime years he may have wanted to go, as you suggested.
Either way, feltcher has maxed this cap out to make any moves going forward.
Piss poor cap management once again |

I don't think it matters the reason other than Giroux likely wanted to try to "win" and then "go home". What is odd is with his departure that management didn't decide it's time to rebuild and start selling other guys last season.
