York played well.
JVR didn't have a point but could have as much as a four-assist game. MacEwen had three Grade A chances. Frost had two and started a near tic-tac-toe sequence with JVR that MacEwen wasn't able to finish. At least last night, that line clicked albeit mostly in the first 30 mins of regulation. MacEwen was really good on the walls. - bmeltzer
Do you feel with more skill than Mac it would have led to goals? I know Mac played well
Your opinion on frost recently, seems he is doing better, making plays, just points have not come. That no matter the line he has been on.
JVR was rough first game back but much better last night

Have any of you lost a parent or someone close and realize all this is meaningless? I lost my mom last week and could care less about millionaires preforming or not. Let’s start looking at the big picture |

Zack Mack can't even hit the Broad St side of the WFC barn.
What's the use of having him out with good set-up guys?
He can never finish. Not even if he was tasked to do so onto Sydney Sweeney's bodaciously bouncy fun-bags with his life on the line. |

Oh, they are heading to the pearl in the desert. 🏜 🦊 I will miss the usual lone flyer goal, and the opposing team 2 EN. |

Agreed about Cutter. To be a freshman in college and putting up those numbers is a good sign. Let's just hope the injury bug doesn't bite him like it seems to have done with so many other prospects. - Phillywhiteout
Thus!! There is a curse on this franchise...
There is no toehr explanation other than black magic
It's unreal the bad luck that we have had for what...? 12 or 13 years now |

My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. I lost my Father in the recent past. The only thing I can tell you is it does get easier. Sometimes you need a distraction and can look at the small picture.

Letang was in Penguins lineup after his second stroke.
Is Ellis’ Flyers career still at 4 games played?
Caufield just scored his 16th goal of the season. Can someone please list the Flyers players who have more than 16 goals. |

Let’s start looking at the big picture - Keyser soze My condolences to you and your family. Lost my Mom a few months ago. It's a process, but things do gradually get better and it's good to have distractions to help you move along. Just try to remember all the good memories that you have shared with her over the years. |

I said it. I don't know why people don't get the the logic: yes, you can miss (like a Patrick or JvR, both #2's), but that doesn't invalidate the argument. Sure you can fail to make lemonade with some lemons, but you can't make it without lemons! The #1s are the lemons.
#1's and # 2's, but especially #1's are the things without which you don't win in the cap era. TB doesn't win without building around Hedman and Stamkos. Pens built around Fleury, Sid, and Malkin. Chicago around Kane and Toews. I can keep going.
It's the only reasonable strategy in the cap era where you can't buy them in free agency.
To say any other strategy is better is rubbish. - therabbi
2 of the top 5 players in points were drafted in the 2nd rd & another in the top 5 was drafted 25th |

Makar won a conn smythe, norris, & stanley cup but evil genius st ronnie had a plan & wanted nopa. Ronnie just needed more time - Fopa21 I'm certainly not a Ronnie supporter, but Chuckles leaves lots to be desired and there is no denying that. You don't get this bad overnight, so Chuckles has had help, but he needs to hit the highway!! Passing on a player like Caufield(twice) is inexcusable. He sucked in Minny and he has sucked here. If it wasn't for his Dad he probably wouldn't have ever had a job in the NHL. |

Kaprizov in rd 5 in minny. & Gauthier right now at 18 might be better than any Hextall pick. Like you admit Chuck was handed a dumpster fire of “prospects” & that cripples a team/organization. Chuck has given out bad contracts no doubt laughton sanheim nic d risto hayes but he seems to have done a solid job rebuilding our prospect pool |

Kaprizov in rd 5 in minny. - Fopa21
Kaprizov was pure luck. And Chuck/Flahr never bothered to sign him:
Fletcher, who was the general manager of the Wild since 2009, was fired in April 2018 after they were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round for the third consecutive year. He took a hands-off approach to sign Kaprizov that failed for three years. Kaprizov took Fletcher’s lack of communication as indifference and signed an extension with Moscow that kept him locked into the KHL until spring 2020.
“They weren’t too interested in me,” he said in a 2017 interview with Sport-Express. “What round was I picked at? The fifth? I think that they forgot about me immediately after the selection.”
He didn't sign with the Wild until two GMs later.
And Chuck/Flahr were thinking about drafting Brayden Point but they swapped picks w/ the Bolts at the last minute because they liked Louis Belpedio just as much. Yes, the same Louis Belpedio that they signed this past summer after he did (frank) all w/ the Wild.
& Gauthier right now at 18 might be better than any Hextall pick - Fopa21
Right, he's already better than TK, Provy and Carter Hart. |

Has Chuck Fletcher been fired yet?
Is Tony DeAngelo still a member of this?

- 9 Provy is damaged goods at this point. Still missing Niskanen. -12 TK has been our best offensive player yes but still missing a lot to his game |

Team can’t score, but Provorov is suppose to be a plus player. That’s real logical thinking you’ve got going… |

The guys I’ve been enjoying watch the most are the guys who will never receive credit on this board. I think the top pair is much improved since DeAngelo was taken off and replaced with Ristolainen. While I don’t agree with Mac being anywhere other than the fourth line, the guy is creating quality scoring chances for himself. He belongs. |

Better since the end of November, but then again there was nowhere to go but up. The way they were playing at the beginning of the season was an utter joke. |
