the process should be to play the kids as much as possible so they learn and progress as much as possible.
so yes to Guhle or Xhekaj on the PP, not 5 forwards including plugs who won't be here a year from now like Hoffman or Drouin. and that is even if Matheson is in the lineup.
yes to give the net to Montembeault more often to see if we have a future #1 in him or not. Allen we know what we have.
yes to Slaf on the top 6, he's been much better recently playing with Monahan and or Anderson. who wouldn't compared to Evans and Pezetta. even Anderson has been better, like if he was enjoying his new big brother role with the kid.
yes to scratch Wideman and play the 4 kids (including Kovacevik) on the blueline
and yes, please hire a vet coach to help the rookie coach. ca fait pitié. train the trainer!!

that is exactly what we expected. they over-achieved a bit in the first 2 months, no surprise there. now it's back to reality. hang in there, better days are coming.

They are competitive most night, and they have shown they can come back when down by a few goals. Most often entertaining, even in a loss, especially when you see the kids produce.

As you pointed out, this was expected.
