belichick is on the hotline and the hosts keep asking him decent open questions and he gives the blandest answers ive ever heard. its painful to listen to. i mean im absorbing it into my life force, but holy poop these hosts must dread calling him every week. - TheSabresTaco
It's like the famous scene in Bull Durham. When you're a 20 game winner that stuff is cute because it shows you are colorful. When you're not winning? Yikes.

I am sorry if this was beat to death yesterday. I still don't get all of the love for Tua. Sure, he is better than most of us probably think. But he is very much a guy that needs everything to come together in order to have success. He can't be a guy that puts the team on his back like Allen can (having a mediocre arm doesn't help). |

Not making the list — You could make a good case for the Habs. The Flames, amazingly enough, might not be good enough to be in the middle right now. The Sabres are way too exciting to be mediocre, whatever their record says, they’re basically hockey’s version of this tweet. And the Blues, well, we’ll get to them in a bit.
The tweet:
every time I see an Angels highlight it's like "Mike Trout hit three homes runs and raised his average to .528 while Shohei Ohtani did something that hasn't been done since 'Tungsten Arm' O'Doyle of the 1921 Akron Groomsmen, as the Tigers defeated the Angels 8-3" - TheSabresTaco

I hate the Dolphins as much as the next Bills fans, but Tua is capable of capitalizing on the talent around him. He's in a great situation and the coaches know how to use him. He's not a transcendent talent in the mold of Josh and Pat, but he gets the job done. If he wasn't so inconsistent he'd probably be seen is one of the best in the league.
I think it's fair to be skeptical that the team and talent is raising him up, whereas Josh and Pat raise their respective teams, clearly. But Tua does what he needs to do to get his team a win.

I don't think it is a matter of the talent raising him up. He can't be successful if the rest of the offense isn't clicking (he had been exposed the last several weeks). Don't get me wrong - if the blitz doesn't get home he can toss up a prayer 25 yards downfield to burn you (as he did to us). But he still looks extremely skittish out there when things aren't perfect.

That's an odd comparison because the baseball players are HOF-level players. Also, ROR was a second line center for us and - even though he played well for us - he didn't really set the world on fire when he was here. I would probably swap in Kane for ROR.

Mike McDaniel looks like he was thrown into a locker more times than once when he was in school.

I actually really like McDaniels personality.
He’s funny and he gets his players to buy in.
His mic’d up stuff is really good.
I also hate the dolphins. They are a good team. Tua is a top half of the league QB. |

He was the 1st line center by ice time his first two years here and had more points than Eichel over that span. Also had an All-Star game (not of the ZG variety). He was very good imo |

Replace with Claque and Lyubushkin when he returns to health. Could be a nice in-house fix.
I'd like to see them move Joker. He is playing a bit better, but is still a liability around his own net.
They need much better there. - IonSabres
For all the crap the 4th line gets, Bryson is the biggest liability in their lineup.
Clague is arguably better than Joker. He should stay in.

You're not wrong - he was a 2nd line center playing top line minutes. 24 goals and 61 points was his max here.
Speaking of ROR - 15 points in 31 games this year with a sparkling -21 plus/minus.

How do you judge a coach on game management?
Do you watch every game and compare?
Do you read an article and then re-post?
Just curious, 32 head coaches and Miami's guy is the #1 best game manager? |

I'm not sure whether to put Hurts into the 'needs talent' pile or 'runs the talent' pile. |
