Tuch is taking the boys out tonight after this one!

Gotta nice little break before the Lightning. 3 games out west, 6 points banked. Party hearty dudes. They deserve it.

High Danger chances were 16-3. Crazy.

Sabres were due for a PDO run but they need to snap out of it quick and get back to playing like they had been prior to the last two games.

Sabres have been on their heels for the most part since the third period of the Avs game.

Neither of the last two wins were impressive but the points were absolutely needed.

It’s not a sustainable formula, but 3 days rest and getting out of the West Coast will hopefully help get them back on the right track.

It has something to do with the style of play that Arizona and Vegas play, which is a lot of play along the boards, and trapping defensively.

Tonight will be an epic night for the team. Great flight home to Buffalo tomorrow. Business to take care of against Tampa Thursday night.

Olo and mitts should not be on a line together. They are always getting scored on against. I know the home team can choose the matchups but why keep a minus infinity group together. Id imagine they must look tremendous in practice bcz I’m not seeing it.

One of the things I take is even when we're injured and exhausted our top line can still burst score a couple goals in 5 minutes on any team in the NHL.

I think they have fair to average weapons outside of Diggs. Knox has talent, so does Davis

But I don’t think they come close to having an elite second option like some other great offenses

- sbroads24

Only a handful of options have an “elite” 2nd option downfield

Best teams in the NFL besides us:

(13-1) Philly- Smith *might* have elite talent, but he hasn’t had an elite season as far as production goes

(11-3) KC- nothing elite outside Kelce

(11-3) Minny- no elite 2nd option, Thielen aging & Hockenson not quite elite

(10-4) Cinci- best WR trio in league

(10-4) Dallas- no elite option outside of Lamb. Schultz is good (like Hockenson), but not elite

(10-4) San Fran- idk that Kittle is elite as a pass catcher anymore, but maybe u can say him & Deebo

(9-5) Ravens- Andrews & then nothing

(8-5-1) Giants- no elite options

The best teams aren’t flowing with elite options
Few have an “elite” 2nd option

The more the merrier of course,
but it’s not killing us by any means

They can't possibly like it, they are just stuck and can't/won't do anything about it.

Get's really old watching them cough up goals in the third.

All those teams have elite RBs to take the load off.

Philly doesn’t
KC definitely doesn’t

Actually, idk that any of those teams have elite RBs except SF & NYG
But NYG has zero in the pass catching department that’s elite

The point is that only a few teams have a bevy of elite weapons
Again, more would be great
But i think we’re fine

Peterka and Quinn were far and away the worst forwards tonight by xg%.

They’re rookies and they weren’t going to keep playing great all year

They needed to add a significant top 9 forward this offseason and chose not to

We got Vinny

Bills are the #1 seed & u b!tch about not having enough elite weapons

Sabres are looking the best they have in roughly a decade, & u can’t stop b!tching about them either

It’s ok to stop & smell the roses
Life is good dude

The Thompson line was good at times. Cozens was ok.

Point is JJ/Quinn are going to have their struggles. Another play driving winger/center should’ve been a priority

UPL or any Sabres goalie actually stole a win. I can’t remember the last time that happened.

We hung on for dear life.

Hindsight is easy. Never been a big VO fan, but even I never expected this of him and Mitts. Another player doesn't do much if they are still here.

Assuming it would’ve been a trade to bring someone in I’d have to imagine one of those two would’ve been going the other way.

Wasn't going to be VO, fresh off his extension. They seem to love Mitts.

All seems clear cut now, but it was a much different situation over the summer.
