No, they aren't, but at least the goalie can make a save there. They don't need to hope that the puck happens to hit them like you do on a cross-ice pass in front of the net. I saw something in UPL that we hadn't seen before: he was aggressive in this crease. He looked in control on every shot. Almost menacing, if that makes sense.

The Thompson line was good at times. Cozens was ok.

They need to talk to Chychrun's agent and see if he's willing to sign and stay in Buffalo if not, Adams won't budge which is obvious. They are big on players wanting to be here. I know it sounds strange but Adams and CO are huge believers in that.

Girgensons still has a roll in the NHL for as much as I crap on him, it's just not with the Sabres anymore. Like you said, they have players that can replace him.

He had two really strong years from 19-21. Past two years he's been kinda.. fine I guess. He's only played 14 games so far so we'll see where that goes. He's power driving offense this year in a way that Owen Power is, where his defense is kinda average.

His Quality of Teammate is ranked 671 out of 724. So I'm sure that helps.

I'm not buying that since the start of last season.

Regardless, he's a good player and I'd like to see him in a different system.
