I would hope that a draft pick alone would be enough to get a guy like Murphy. I think Bloom is guy that is come out of nowhere for us in the next couple of years. I know you have to give to get - I don't think Murphy qualifies as a blue-chip upgrade.

I think that's about right for Murphy, it was Bloom or Nadeau and unfortunately I like Nadeau.

Luke Schenn is a perfect partner for Power.

Stay at home, clear the crease and not afraid to get physical. Its just what this defense needs.

A 2nd might even get it done, if we can get a 2 year extension I would love to see him here

With physical play and hitting definitely ended in the 80's and all , why would a team give up a 1st for the nhl all time defensive hitter?

Well, what do you know. When we stop giving up multiple cross-ice passes on front of the net every game like we were two weeks ago, the goaltending magically looks better. It was still a shooting gallery last night but at least they weren't shots that are 40% likely to score.
