McKenzie only having 4 drops is blowing my mind. I guess it’s the timing and impact of his drops that magnify them. I’m still in disbelief.
- joshs

It seems like more. What constitutes a drop?

A couple games ago for example he had 3 drops. You are telling me he only had 1 more drop after that??

I can BS

What #3 quality WR gets paid $15mil per?

Thank you for proving my point.

Someone will overpay Davis for what he brings.

I don’t want to be that team at this point. He has an entire year to change my mind.

People here LOVE to exaggerate

At least you’re recognizing your mind is playing tricks on you & he doesn’t really drop the ball that much

- jdfitz77

This of course assumes the metric is 100% aligned to what an individual fan would consider a "drop".
From the eye test, and I have watched every Bill's game for the past 10-15 years (like many others I suspect) those numbers represent a fraction of the actual balls thrown his way which he had a chance on and did not come down with it.
Those also seem to be exacerbated by the timing/importance of the play.

But, go on. I assume only the plays called for penalties are only the ones with infractions which could be called penalties, right?

He’s purposely ignoring what half of us are saying for the purpose of arguing.

The WR’s and Knox have not made the tough catches that guys like Sanders and Beasley made last season, and even McKenzie did to end last year

It’s all on Allen and Diggs

If YOU, or ANY “typical fan” can’t correctly determine what actually is considered a drop or not by the official scorers- then that just goes to my point about people exaggerating

I don’t tally the “drops numbers”
They aren’t my opinions
The FACTS are that McKenzie has 4 drops this season
And again- those aren’t MY numbers or opinions,
those are the OFFICIAL stats

And yes,
I’m gonna go with the official stats over the misconstrued exaggerations that are prevalent here

If u need another example of that,
check out Sbroads statement earlier about Davis getting “MOST” of his catches while Allen is scrambling
Last i checked, “most” means more than half
I’d love to see the numbers that back up his claim, except i won’t ever see them-
because they’re a massive exaggeration, just like this bs with all the drops

No, it’s just hard to keep up with you constantly moving the goalposts to try & fit your narrative

Catch % this season :

Knox- 74.1%
Diggs- 69.7%
McKenzie- 66.7%

So if Knox has a better catch %,
and McKenzie is basically equal to Diggs,
then….

Maybe u could make a case with JUST Davis, since his catch % at 54.5% is a fair bit lower than Diggs….

But that’s common with passes thrown down field
(that the completion % drops a fair bit)
So i don’t even think u have a case with Davis either

Yet, this season:

And Knox has an even better one

Well if McKenzie would stop dropping 1 pass every 3 games or so, then we’d be in a better mood….
Maybe

Probably not though

Sabres look as organized as they have in 15 years.

Coach makes some tall dude a mega super star at center
GM signs him to the best contract in sports
GM recognizes samuelsson's talent and signs him to an awesome deal.

Coach benches asplund.
Donnie is a bad coach and the gm is helping him make bad decisions from above 😀

I just read an interesting Trade Proposal.

Van Trades OEL to Buffalo (retaining celery, did not say how much but it would have to ne 3-4 Mill)

Buff Trades, Mittle-Shat, Goalofsson, and maybe some picks or porspect

OEL signed for the next 5 years, he is only 31 and could be good on this team on a second pair.

We get a solid but aging top 4 D, and we rid ourselves of 2 boat anchors.

I kind of like it

- hehateme

I can't see Vancouver holding that much celery for that long. I can't think of another team that did that. Also, they'd have to turn around and pay Ollofson as much as they would be saving on moving OEL out.

It never ceases to amaze me how these GMs make these trades in the first place. Everyone knew that OEL, Risto, Seth Jones, etc, were awful trades / contracts.

Isaiah McKenzie has been good this year and not a total disappointment.

Gabe Davis who PFF projected to have 70 catches for 1,100 yards and 8TD’s before the season, who’s on pace for none of those, is having a good season.

Dawson Knox who’s now a top 7 paid TE, who’s been invisible half the year has been good

We’re all just trolling

Well timeliness does matter and he’s had some disastrous fumbles too. Ronnie Harmon might’ve only dropped one pass in his career.

McKenzie is plain infuriating. Dorsey just doesn't seem to know how to use him. What happened to the Jet Sweep?

In fairness to Davis he was always feast or famine and could easily get to 10 TDs before the year is over.

Knox I'm willing to give a pass on due to the whole dead brother thing. And he's been way more involved in the past few weeks which is encouraging.

Gabe Davis is a beast, he’s uncoverable. JayZ left Kraft’s suite to see HIM. Teams been shadowing him with their #1 corner. Something can be said they do that so they can double Diggs, but I don’t care. What he did in the KC game was greatness. Just twisting dudes ankles totally wide open to where nobody was left in the screen around him. He was doing it in pre season he was doing it in Training Camp. He AJ Browned the Steelers defense too.

He’s had easy catch drop issues his whole career though.

As of now none of that has come to bite us in a playoff game. My concern is this year it does
