Fetanyl is a schedule II narcotic and anyone caught with it would face a felony charge. Depending on the state, the mininum sentence for simple possession (significantly lesser than distribution) is a 5 year sentence. It's also very expensive due to the risk.

So serious question, what drug dealer would risk life and limb to get you high on fentanyl without your knowledge? I mean, has it been done once, probably, the idea this is common is asinine.

Cocaine is about 20x the price of weed, makes sense. You can make more money doing that as you can use it as cut, the user still gets high but less real product is consumed. Trust me when I say there's a lot worse than fentanyl in your average cocaine bag.

But going back to the logic, it simply doesn't make sense as you posed it before in terms of weed. You can't make more money adding it to weed. That, simply put, would drive you out of business in weeks.

Again, it's like the overdose candy scares...does some idiot put a razor blade or some acid in a lollipop on Halloween? Sure. Is it common or a big problem? No.
