I just want to reiterate how good Dahlin was tonight. He owns the ice when the puck is on his stick. So much offense is generated off of what he does with the puck, or the decisions he makes without the puck in the offensive zone. His hockey IQ in the O zone is all time great.

One of the things that amazes me is he does it without being 1 of the fastest skaters in the league. He's not slow, but Cal Makar is a far faster skater. He's not a better skater though. Every single game this year Dahlin has embarrassed multiple NHL forwards who think they can take the puck from him at the top of the O zone. Every time his ability to move laterally baffels them. He's not as fast, but he's as good a skater as there is in the world. Makar plays a bit like I remember Paul Coffey (though I was pretty young) playing: he just flies by people. Dahlin dangles them and then plays defense as if he were Wayne Gretzky. It's true greatness.
