I don't have the context of what was said, but apparently Yandle fired shots at Torts for benching his buddy Hayes. The country clubbers are up in arms. Big whoop!

Most players need to be defensively responsible and play well away from the puck to be a good team. Frost is never going to be a high enough point producer to remove his responsibilities away from the puck. He's not Patrick Kane.

Is this a new development in not caring about his play away from the puck?

No its not new. I just feel offensive players should be offensive players and I just don't think Frost is every going to be a defensive juggernaut. Sure he needs to be responsible away from the puck, but I want Frost to take chances to generate offense, and shoot the puck more versus deferring to his line mates.

Every comment you make concerning Frost is negative. Unable to reference any positives. You're now trying to label his playmaking as a negative. As if he should become a shooter now. He has had his fair share of quality scoring chances so it's not as if he is turning down quality shot opportunities. You phrase his playmaking in the negative as if making quality set up plays is now "deferring" to his linemates.

I hope that he does get Jake Voracek disease. Voracek has been one of the top playmakers in the league for a long time. He doesn't overpass the puck. Frost has made enough quality plays to have a lot more points than he currently does.

If Frost turned into Jake that would be an amazing outcome. Extremely unlikely that he has that kind of impact. A more realistic hope for him would be to achieve Sam Gagner level of play.

Agreed but my comment on that was tongue in cheek in response.
