EDIT: Seeing that he recently suffered a severe stroke which severely altered his personality and ability to communicate. Apparently was the impetus for his suicide. Maybe he was in real pain and couldn't express it. A good argument perhaps for physician-assisted suicide by pain-free euthanasia, which a state like Texas will never allow. He had enough money perhaps to go to another country where it is legal.. Netherlands, I believe. I also believe a form of it is legal in Oregon, but only if there's an underlying illness/condition that is deemed terminal, so that the euthanasia is essentially hastening the inevitable to avoid prolonged pain, and palliative care isn't working to relieve it.
