Would be fantastic if some if the call ups can get the job done, all while players are on IR. Maybe Lou can pull some sh!t like the bolts have done over the past few seasons. Wishful thinking, I know.
Edit: the hits keep coming. Just read Nelson got injured last night too. Along with Holmstrom, who has been a solid call up. Fuk.

The Panthers seem to have a habit. Watch Cousins stick his leg out on Raty on his goal. This crap isn't an accident.

And watch, the NHL will do nothing about either incident......... even if Holmstrom has a serious injury.

They'll say that the knee on knee was unintentional since Bennett had pulled his arm in and his focus was on Holmstrom's upper body. I can go either way on this. I definitely think there should have been a penalty. I will say that despite the prior rationale, Holmstrom had changed his trajectory well before their contact, meaning; it wasn't as though he shifted at the last second. Despite that, Bennet continued straight though his leg. Most kneeling incidents are not intentional but simply look that way since they tend to be the result of reflex reactions. So I'm not sure the 'He didn't mean to do it" excuse flies here. I'm equally disturbed about the lack of response from the team, which has become a disturbing trend.

* I will say the last angle on this looks much more 'intentional' https://twitter.com/Brady...1frepmTAJyFyf0bfMHkQ&s=19

He definitely tried to make contact with him. The leg is unnaturally away from where it should be. The rest of it, his intent or whatever, means nothing to me. It’s a major and a game misconduct. Should have been an easy call. Especially once these striped mongoloids huddled up together. One of them obviously thought enough about it to have a meeting about it.

I love when the league claims they care about “player safety.” They’ve shown over and over and over and over they’re having a laugh about that “concern.”
