I think Vande Sompel left the organization this year. He's playing elsewhere. But yeah, those guys have been around forever. 293 AHL games for Wotherspoon

Ha-ha! Sompel is the other name. I was hoping Salo would be better this year. Young players have been a real challenge with the Islanders.

I wouldn't shed tears if we had an overhaul in Bridgeport. Brent hasn't exactly worked miracles in terms of player development over the years yet has remained unscathed

I just made a similar comment. How does Thompson still have a job? How were the pink slips not flying when Lou took over? That is what I was expecting when Lou was hired. We needed a lot more than just a new GM and Coach.

Undisciplined play cost the Islanders the game last night.

Sorokin and Dobson the only players worth anything.

I assume they view Wotherspoon as a career AHL'er, so no real harm in letting him rot in the press box. Bolduc needs to play.

It was just plain stupid. You are tied in a hostile building of your major rival with 5 mins. left. You lock it down and make sure you get a point. This team took bad penalties all night.

If in fact it is a concussion like we all suspect. I would not be looking to rush our best defensive player back for the short term. I want him healthy long term. May need to look into a short term vet. or a long term trade.
