Well if that’s accurate that’s very sad that people would give good hard-earned money for this team |

What would it cost to get Clarke from LA? He might be a great RH to go along with Provy. York and TDA as a pair. - mikeyo27
Why would a developing team like LA want to trade a 19 year old top ten pick defenseman?

Because their window with Doughty and Kopitar is closing yet they have a chance for a deep and perhaps lucky run. Prospects and high picks are what teams like LA give up. So I ask again, what would it cost to acquire Clarke from LA?
Merry Christmas MJL. Anyone who loves Vader and Star Wars can’t be bad.

Out of curiosity, what would you have liked them to do regarding a coach? Stick with Yeo? Lappy? Bring in a college football coach? People here seem to hate Torts because he’s an awful dinosaur of a coach while also blaming him for elevating the play of this horrible team so much that they’ll be out of the running for a top pick. It’s very confusing. - Dkos

LA is in the middle of a youth movement. Moving Clarke wouldn't make too much sense.
Not to mention the Flyers probably have nothing they'd be willing to move that the Kings would be interested in. |

My bet Hart has a concussion.
Then it will Zoom into overdrive of post concussion syndrome and he will retire.
Happy Holidays. |

Totally disagree, Sanheim or PRovy would fill a huge hole in there D corps. But i would want more if were trading provy.

Main thing is Fletcher not be allowed to make the picks. This guy has to go, there are moves to make this year but i am worried he will try to save his job by trading picks away for some delusional gain he sees.
Hayes at 50%, would bring assets back.
JVR at 50%, 3rd pick maybe a 4th.
Explore trading 2 of our 4 d men making 5+mil, w/o sending picks out to do it.
Wondering if vegas or toronto might want the elis contract for ltir games. |

Their window is not open if you ask me, and I think their GM would be foolish to move Clarke just for a long shot chance.
Merry Christmas to you also.

Even if retaining 50% a trade of Hayes is not likely this season. I think Ellis has too many years left at this point. |

My other issue of development is that the Flyers aren't doing anything in terms of developing future coaches. Many of the top coaches today were younger guys developed in the AHL or as assistants. The Flyers have old heads as assistants that were linked to Tortorella in the past or who are also stuck in the past. I don't see Lappariere as a future NHL head coach, - MJL
IDK, but Rocky Thompson is only 45. Not old for a coach. His few media availabilities were interesting. He didn’t coach under Torts before, I don’t think.
Happy holidays to all the Flyerbuzzards, btw. And a very merry Christmas to you, too!

Pay Risto and Hayes to fake injuries for the rest of the season and then buy them out in the off season! Please! Only saw parts of the game cause other activities were going on, but Risto on Carolina's 3rd and 6th goals? That guy is the gift that keeps on giving.
Thanks Chuckles! Hayes just continues to look lazy most nights although I wasn't a very engaged spectator this evening. - Phillywhiteout
If you weren’t engaged then ya don’t really know what happened, eh?
Risto was not good, but Provy was worse. The 2nd pairing which is really our new 1st pairing were flying, however.
Frost continues to look dangerous, showing great mits and good speed. K was awesome. Farabee is about to breakout.

Provorov made a really bad decision on the first goal against in trying to make an arial pass through sticks up the middle, but he wasn't worse than Ristolainen. Not even close. Ristolainen is about as clueless right now as you can get in the defensive zone and is providing zero offense. Although he did finally register his first point.
