I don’t think that is true (the second part). He’s kept in the background after his (ownership’s) meddling following the Islanders series threw the team off the rails. But, he spends money on the roster that no owner before him would. His investment in the new training complex in FtL shows commitment to building a winner.
Zito royally yakked on his choice for coach. Mo has sucked the life and joy out of this team. You can see it on the ice recently. They are no fun to watch this season, so far, and not just because of their record. They look pretty fukking lifeless compared to how Q’s Panthers played. Zito needs to realize his mistake and cut bait from this charlatan currently behind the bench.
Mo’s just happy his family now lives in South FL, he took this job to make his wife happy, and to be near his kid who is starting school at UM. (that was the impression I got, which I tried to ignore, from his interviews upon being hired.)
