Vrana cleared waivers. This league sucks sometimes, and NHL GMs are all so afraid to do anything that would upset the applecart. |

Believe that was down from 82% at beginning of December |

Who is "they"? Moneypuck has us at 94.6%, Athletic has us at 95%, hockey reference at 90%, a bunch of other sites/models in the 90-95 range. Vegas betting lines have us as the 6th highest odds to win the cup, tied with Tampa. |

Vrana hasn’t been impactful since he played on a good Capitals team in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons. He’s 26 and worth a claim for a team like NJ, but never more than 57pts and 25 goals, I’m not sure I’d say he’s a definite top 6 player but the potential might still be there given his age. Something must be up to be dropped like this. Honestly NJ has a good thing going, they need to worry about getting a real goaltender. |

Good thing he wasn't drafted based on his defensive ability, same as his brother. Like I said before, clearly never watched Luke before the few games this tournament. |

Luke Hughes is going to fit in like a glove with us.
Also, biggest bust was probably Adam Larsson because our org under Lou had horrible development. Stunted growth of tons of players trying to force them into outdated systems. |

Played with his old man in Canada. Been watching these kids since they were born.
Quinn is just as bad on D.
Jack is the best of the 3.
Clearly you have no clue

Sure you did "Goalie-33", and i played with the Hughes brothers on the pond when growing up. This site is full of mouth breathers lol. Good lord.
Of course Jack is the best of the 3, that's not a shock to literally anybody who watches the sport. Clearly you 'have no clue' when you try coming in here talking poop on a prospect about something literally everybody knows about him. Everybody knows hes a rover, heavily cheats offensively, and needs to work on his defensive game. His game is offense, plain and simple, that's never going to change. That's the reason he's arguably the best NHL-affiliated prospect. |

Luke named one of the top 3 players of the tournament for USA alongside Cooley and Snuggerud.
Nemec seemingly got snubbed of this for Slovakia, he definitely deserved it. He surprised a ton of people by the looks of it with how well he played. Wonder if he gets a look at some point here, especially with Marino still out. |

Wow, a young D that isnt known for his defensive capabilities will be a bit of a liability defensively?! Really shocking the world there with that comment. You're really going out on a limb with that one smart guy!! Its almost like some of the better offensive defenseman in the league are a bit of a liability defensively! Karlsson? Liability. Quinn? Liability. Makar? Liability. Sergachev? Liability. Ect, ect, ect.
Imagine poop-talking teenagers, playing at a level of hockey that your ass could have never dreamed of reaching. Especially one that isnt even a prospect of the team you root for, going to a random teams page multiple times just to try to get a reaction. Sad life. |

Chris Peters on Luke when recapping the game last night:
"Luke Hughes (NJD): I know there has been a lot of criticism of some of the more noticeable mistakes Hughes made, perhaps most noticeably on the empty-net goal. That said, he was an absolute force for much of the game. He was on the ice for only two of the six goals against and was an offensive factor. He had no points, but hit a post and also put up nine shots on goal in the game. He was able to extend plays and he was very often looked to as a matchup against Connor Bedard. I thought the criticism Hughes got was based on small moments in the game as opposed to his entire body of work, which I thought was excellent aside from the miscue on the empty-netter. Hughes was also named one of USA's three best players of the tournament.
With a player like Hughes, he is not always going to make the right play or right decision. But he can do a lot of things most other players cannot. That is where his value lies. You live with the errors because he can do special things with the puck on his stick and I thought he had way more better moments than he did bad ones against Canada." |

According to Ben Birnell, who covers Utica, Akira Schmid has been called up. He's not sure why though.
Team done with Blackwood? Vanecek get dinged up last night? Just giving V the night off? Hmm. |

Probably an illness
Vanacek would most likely have been on the bench if he wasn't starting as a back to back |

It’s sad that this is the most creative and articulate thing you’ve said, and even still I’m sure you stole it from someone else that has said this in your past. |
