HEY! - Gramps28
colors and designs are a very subjective thing, but anyone who thinks the blackhawks jersey is ugly is automatically wrong, this is just a fact of life, and there's no debate to be had on this. |

these are the teams that should keep their uniforms forever. |

agreed, but for me these would be the original 6 jerseys. sticking ads on those is (frank)ing careless and shameful.

speaking of, that bear has seen better days, but I guess this poop happens with the "old-school retro" look they're going for when it comes to winter classics lol

so far, yes. and besides NYR the habs and the laffs are literally the top most profitable teams in the league, which makes it even more absurd, but money talks much louder than history. |

when I see poop like this I always try to picture the person or group of people sitting together at a table, ultimately approving it as a good idea... wtf.

Montreal might net 4.1 million for the season (random number)...Don't know that any company would pay to advertize on the Yotes' jersey, there's nobody to see them. |

that is rather insulting for all those passionate yotes fans who are proud season ticket owners at the illustrious Mullet arena.
joking aside though I understand the logic, but my point is the jersey ads are in no way necessary to ensure that these organizations remain profitable. |

It is, 'cause they have to share profit to other orgs. Not so much for the extra ads! (probably). And Molson can only build so many condos. |

oh come on, these ads weren't put there out of sheer necessity, advertisements were already being pushed around the league in hundreds of ways. |

I was listening to an interview with PK Subban earlier in which he explains how the fact that he was trying to establish his own personal brand eventually clashed with the habs organization and was basically the main reason why things went downhill between them.
while I understand that capitalism isn't inherently evil and that he wasn't using his brand for any wrongful intentions or whatever, I also get why this kind of approach wasn't welcomed by the habs, hockey is very different in certain ways compared to how things are handled and perceived in other professional sports (for now, at least).

So he went rogue and tried putting himself above the team.

if he had maintained an elite level of play on the ice, he could've potentially proven a point, but with how his career went on after leaving MTL it's kind of hard for him to argue that he wasn't heavily distracted by a bunch of things that weren't really hockey-related.

Look at his IG back when he was still playing. All about fancy events and meeting celebs.
Hockey was just his springboard |

That's where Eugenie Bouchard learned the trade. |
