Well, maybe the Canadian PM being in a similar situation would be amusing to citizens of the US... once we were made aware of it, and who exactly the PM is... and why the Hell he was traveling abroad.



.... Seriously, an attempted assault of any kind to a leader of any World country to me is not amusing... anything other than a shoe may well have caused much worse effect. Also, that person was lucky the situation was as it was... another time and place and he could have been killed on the spot.

Hate for a person should not cloud the action... An attack on a World Leader should not be viewed from the eyes of hypocrisy. The same thing occurs with Obama and we have cries from those who now laugh.

One would think that the man would be beneath a few SS Agents before he was able to get another shoe thrown... Also, the act of throwing anything should have sparked his restraining before it left his hand.

The days of the Dallas motorcade changed much... and Reagan and the Pope's assassination attempts should have done much more than merely creating the glass PopeMobile.

I honestly feel that people reach more and more a feeling of false security... and that is when something awful again happens -- I really feel that the patience of terrorists is one of their greatest assets -- People may think that this was funny, mostly due the sight of a shoe being tossed in another culture... but I sure hope it is a call to the SS to wake the F up. As much as people hated W, Obama will have the added threat of idiots and radicals on top of mere hate mongers.
